Hoopshype is saying that D’Antoni and the Pelicans parted ways a month ago. I don’t want him back as a head coach. Doubt the FO would consider bringing him back as asst. But if MDA is really a free agent. It would be great to see the FO pay D’Antoni to work with Kolek for part of the summer.

Not for nothing but bringing in MDA for the offense may be a gold level move.

Would they get along though? Two stubborn guys lol. If they could make it work, it would be a gold medal move. Wouldn't mind the FO talking to Thibs and MDA about it.

Maybe you can broker a "summit" this summer? Im sure 74 year old MDA really could use something to do.
Hey, would you "mind" if maybe Nash is open to some consulting?
Perhaps JB might be interested as well.
How did that "Dream Shake" thing work for Amare btw? Also Javale Mcgee trained with him. How that work out?

While not to discount MDA effect on Nash's career, lets not forget he was a two time Allstar with Dallas before heading to PHX as a free agent at age 30. Im not down on Kolek but maybe there are others that can open up his game a bit also? Bob Cousy is still alive and kicking at age 96!
Would you "mind" if he gave some pointers to him?
what about Clyde? Kolek could use some wardrobe fashion sense?

What a passive aggressive freak show Naldo. Considering how little time the 29 year old Amar’e spent with Hakeem, it worked out great. He developed a back to the basket spin move that let him work in the paint. It wasn’t meant to fill all the gaps in the roster.

You seem to have a problem with Kolek getting any pointers from anyone but the Knicks. LeBron wasn’t too good to see Hakeem. Kobe, and other superstars. All about mentoring the younger generation.

Speaking of Steve Nash, there is a clip on YouTube somewhere , where Nash speaks to the importance of NBA players entering the league having mentors. If there is someone out there who can help Kolek or any other Knick take their game to the next level, and the FO thinks it will help. Of course I want to see it happen. Wether they are on the team or not.

You make it like only brand name all time greats can teach anything. You assume Kolek has no mentor or proper coaching.
"Passive aggressive"? Nope. Sarcasm! Like if you don't read it or see a video, it don't happen?

I never said that Kolek has no mentors on the Knicks. You said that. I’m sure Kolek is being mentored by the team. You seem to think that he doesn’t need to talk to anyone else. Every year I read about pros from different teams working together. I guess they don’t subscribe to your philosophy.

When the sarcasm is turned up to 11, as it often is with you. That’s passive aggressive.

Minny will be asking themselves what they can do to get past OKC going forward. They're pretty much in the same boat we are. Near contenders.

Minny’s road to the finals might require injuries on other team(s).

I wonder if OKC will run into financial limitations anytime soon.

Dont matter....they still have a bnch of draft picks....As long as they sign their core guys, they can draft well and build around the core.

OKC is really good but I still think they can be beaten. You just cannot beat yourself.

This narrative always got me.
I blame Conley who was in front of him and a faster guard. And he didn’t even try to stop them!

The pouting is what gets most. But did they really need to point it out when he balled in the playoffs and guys like Mcdaniels, Conley, Alexander, Reid, Gobert and Divo shot the bed?

That's a bad trade for Cleveland. I think you have to shoot for Franz if you're dealing Garland to Orlando in a package.

Conley's fault?? No, Randle commited 4 turnovers all in the 1st half, 3 in the first qaurter when he put the ball on the floor trying to create and got stripped. All 3 of those turnovers led to dunks and layups in the 1s quarter when OKC went on that early run that pretty much put the game away. Since he was here in NY, it was always an adventure when Randle decided to put the ball on the floor 20 feet away from the basket because it was a greater chance he was going to get stripped, throw the ball away or travel. He knows this is on the scouting report and yet, he still spends way too much time facing up, 20 feet out as opposed to playing 10-12 feet away and using his weight advantage.

Randle was getting praised in the GS series when he played well. I see no problem with them pointing out when he doesn't play well, like when he dropped 6pts in game 2 and 5pts in game 4. Speaking of pouting, he was pouting in game 4 when he was benched the majority of the 4th, came in late and didn't even attempt to prevent an inbounds pass when they were trying to get back in the game. WCF every game is under a microscope...play well, get praised, if you don't play well.....you get the point
