Supposedly b/c it's supposed to be -11 degrees and the field is in poor condition.

I heard on Mike and Mike that admission will be free to go to this game? Lucky Detroit F**kers. I've never been to a pro football game, let alone a Giants game and would kill to see one.

yeah, it would have taken too long to clear the field at the U of MIN stadium so they went with Ford Field instead... tickets are free to anyone who wants to go... i wonder how many Giants fans live in the area.

A-fan, if there's anything that's worth spending the money on, it's going to a football game live... nothing else like it... from the tailgating experience to the trash talk with the other teams' fans all the way to the intensity inside the stadium during the game... well worth the $200 or so you'll be spending for the experience (ticket, beer, food, parking, tolls, etc.)

Will take the win tonight. Shut down Adrian Peterson to the point where he was invisible and ran for well over 200 yards against one of the NFLs best run defenses. Sleep, bizarre game, but I'm glad to get out with a win.

Now my biggest concern is our health against Philly next week. Manningham, Smith and Canty went out at various points...need them all healthy.

that 80- whatever yard punt return that got partially called back made me feel physically ill. Between the **** special teams and the way the Giants do, well, not protect the damn ball... the team will either lose in the playoffs or be on the outside looking in due to one of those Achilles heels

we've been burned by big returns all year... that's gonna be a huge concern going into the last few games & the playoffs if we make it... the next time i see a Giants returner break off a nice return will be the first time all year.

At this point, we need to get Reyna Thompson out of retirement.

Giants' Smith done for season?: The New York Daily News reports that two sources have told the paper that Giants WR Steve Smith's knee injury might be season-ending. The injury was first diagnosed as a hamstring injury after Smith was tackled on his only catches of the game Monday night -- a 12-yard reception in the first quarter at Minnesota. Smith went for an MRI on Tuesday and that is when a tear to his meniscus was uncovered, one source told the paper. A source also added that this "does not look good" for Smith, who just returned from a pectoral injury in Week 14 against the Vikings.

Some of you have mentioned not knowing about the Meggett arrest...here's a recent article:

Former NFL star Dave Meggett was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Wednesday after being convicted of criminal sexual misconduct and burglary in a South Carolina court, according to multiple reports.

The charges were brought up in the aftermath of a January 2009 encounter between Meggett, 42, and a college student at her house in North Charleston, S.C. Meggett did not take the stand in the trial, and his lawyer, Beattie Butler of the Charleston County Public Defender's Office, indicated that he would appeal. Butler contested that Meggett and the student had consensual sex, then had an argument later in the night in question.

Meggett starred as a running back and kick returner with the New York Giants for six seasons, New England Patriots for three seasons and New York Jets for one season between 1989 and 1998. At one point he was the NFL's career leader in punt return yardage, amassing 3,708 yards, currently good for second-most of all-time. He earned a trip to the Pro Bowl in his rookie season, helped the Giants to a win in Super Bowl XXV and returned to the Super Bowl with the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI.

Meggett has faced a long a history of allegations of sex crimes dating back to the end of his career. In 1998, he was arrested in Toronto after authorities said he allegedly assaulted an escort worker after a three-way sexual encounter. He also resigned from his job as parks and recreation director in Robersonville, N.C., in 2006 after being accused of sexually assaulting his former girlfriend, an accusation that led to him being convicted of misdemeanor sexual battery and given two years' probation.

Meggett still faces charges in a September 2008 incident in which a teenager told police she met Meggett through a mutual friend and he forced her to have sex at a South Carolina home after inviting her to breakfast, according to The Post and Courier of Charleston, S.C.

Jesus Christ. Why the **** didn't Coughlin ease up on the starters? When Tuck was slow to get up I almost smashed my TV set. I'm not saying the starters shouldn't be in the game--worked great in 2007. What I'm saying is they don't need to play every goddamn down.

That is football a freak injury can happen any given play. Lets hope the back ups can step it up and fill Smith's role. Its going to be tough to replace Smith who is Basically Manning"s go to receiver when a big play is needed. Just get into the playoffs and take it from there.

Smith is gonna be a huge loss, there's no doubt about it... he's Eli's most trusted reciever especially when the pocket breaks down... i hope this means Kevin Boss figures big into our passing attack now... he's my starting TE in fantasy cuz of Gates' injury.

Its a very big loss, but guys have to step up. Manningham, Hagan both have some time to shine. But I think its time for Nicks to have a real dominant performance. If we're going to beat Philly he's going to have to take over the game the way Plax did against Philly a bunch of times.

Damn that's pretty sad. I ne'er thought he was that kind of guy but I guess you never know. I met him when I was a kid at offense/defense football camp. I spent the day working out with him and ge seemed like a pretty cool dude.
