ESPN certainly does, they can't contain themselves over how happy they are that Knicks suck.

I find that hard to believe. In the middle of time square you think they really want the knicks to suck. Just imagine if the knicks are a good team that goes far in the playoffs, it seems to me like they would profit from that.....a lot.

I was at the game!!!!

I refuse to be sucked into the negativity..the heat are arguably the best team in the league, and with the team we currently have...

it was a great game...we played our hearts out.

I'm still believing in playoffs...who is still on the wagon?!?!?!?

I was at the game too and all I have to say is WOW, IM SO UPSET RIGHT NOW. They played their hearts out tonight and their asses off but we lose again on a last-second shot. We definitely set a record this year for losing on the last shot of a game. Its so disheartening. Oh well I guess its good our guys are playing great and arent giving up. and for about the fifth straight year lets all say it together "I CANT WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR"

And I think I broke my hand punching the seat in front of me about 10 times when Wade hit that shot, its swelled up pretty bad and its throbbing DAMMIT I HATE LOSING GAMES LIKE THAT, ESPECIALLY TO A GREAT TEAM WHO WE PLAYED WELL AGAINST ALL GAME AND SHOULD HAVE WON

where does the blame lie?

I don't know, tough call.

Sweetney, who I know you guys love, wasn't picking up "quality" fouls. He could have gotten a good one on shaq. Once he learns this, next barkley.

Ariza...well, you guys got your wish, he got his minutes and gave up the game winner...he will grow a million fold and will surpass domique wilkens...he's awesome!!!

hmmm. marbs...team leader, played marvelously, but still made a couple of bone head plays and ill advised shots ( 2 of which went in for 3!!!) but still...gotta be smarter and less emotional.

Herb...coached a good game at times I couldn't understand why certain players were out there, but 90 percent of the time it worked.

Marbs was getting killed off the dribble, but herb called time out, advised the big man and they stopped penetration.

craw...well, he had 10 assists going into the fourth, but he's maybe the closest to being ready for prime time out of our kids. He's just got to calm down...a couple of times he did "too much".

Can't wait till next year.

ps. Tiny Tim, played well...again. imagine if you had 2 relatives pass away...

I'm pretty sure the NBA hates the Knicks.

ESPN certainly does, they can't contain themselves over how happy they are that Knicks suck.

Both like to play into the anti NY bias of the rest of country.

I agree...ever since dolan went up against bloomie on the stadium issue, it's been nothing but downhill...we can't even watch the games.

i mean seriously, did you guys even doubt if wade's shot was going to go in? that's the story of the 04/05 knicks - close but no cigar.

it's been the same story the ENTIRE season. i don't care what team we play, we can not close out games. i think the main reason is b/c we're not a smart basketball team. we actually play panic basketball. nobody's sure of what to do, we rely too much on isolation, we take ill advised shots in the 4th and we turn over the ball WAY too much.

all that adds up to being crappy. of course, all of this can change next season, but for right now, this team is full of a bunch of guys that don't know how to win and it's pretty embarrasing. they look like a CBA team in the 4th quarters.

i was at the game. i was pretty much at every game this season and it's the same story. at no point did i think we were safe nor did i think we would win. call it pessimism, i call it realistic. this team has become a parody of itself.

"tune in tomorrow night to see how the knicks will blow the game against the atlanta hawks"

but out of everything tonight, there are 3 things i came away with:

1. that may have been crawford's best game of the season b/c he was the one running the team when we were building the lead.

2. steph took 3-4 ILL ADVISED 3's. totally unacceptable shots, in my opinion, especially when you have all the momentum and were successful attacking the basket. i can see why former teammates don't run to his defense. with that said, i still think he's a pretty good player.

3. this team has ZERO confidence in mike sweetney. ZERO. ZILCH. NONE. from the top all the way down. i thought he held is own against shaq but the new M.O. seems to be sweets in the 1st and the 3rd and that's it. he didn't return after 3 minutes left in the 3rd for the 2nd game in a row and LEFT with the team leading.

can we PLEASE give up hope of the playoffs and play the young guys?

i have ZERO problems with ariza on wade at the end of that game. that's what we need to be doing the ENTIRE game. he's 19 and he needs things like that to learn from.

btw, if we have no plans to trade penny, please DUMP HIM next season and create the extra roster spot. he is the worst player on the team...even worse than mo.

Trevor Ariza
" I played him straight up. He hit a tough shot to win the game. There is nothing more to say. I was just trying to stop him the best I can. He is an All-Star. He is a great player. He is going to hit shots like that."

I didn't see the game but I was doing it old school listening on the radio. I thought putting Ariza on Wade was the best you could do. Still after I saw the highlights.......I though Ariza could have got up on him a little closer. He gave Wade a clean shot in rythmn. I would have made Wade drive and see if he can find a teamate. Seems like he was trying to do the opposite. Wade is a big shot maker.......bottom line.

I agree DF. I said it after the Seattle collapse. For whatever twisted reason Sweetney is only allowed to play the 1st & 3rd quarters. Maybe they are trying to tank. I can't stand how this organization treats its its high payed veteran players. I hate it how all they do is make excuses and don't do a thing about it. They keep going with the same players that consistently blow leads and lose games. Then they complain about injuries, foul calls, tough schedule, coach needs a training camp. I'm so sick of it! this organzition is awfully blind!

U really need to face facts, the Knicks are losers, their are a few people that are worth their salary, Rose, Williams, Ariza, and perhaps KT, everyone else really doesn't care.....

The fundamentals of this organization of terrible....the owner is horrible the gm well makes one bonehead move after another, and herb doesn't get a pass either he has played enough ball to know who should be in the game,

Penny should not have gotten all that time
Mo Taylor should not have been in the game in the fourth, if the coach is not going to try to establish his post game that was working on Haslem early....

As dumb as crawford is, he should always be out there when marbury is not an vice versa

Stop calling ****ing time-outs herb if you are going to set up the same dumb ****ing play....He called a bad time-out the first time we lost to the heat when we had all the momentum, and last night did the same typical Knick dumb play.....

Is there a reason these jackasses never take the ball to the basket or can't isolate steph to go one on one........

But as painful as it is to lose, we are really winning with every stupid collapse......unfortunatley that five game winning streak moved us a couple of slots back, and we are going to win 32 games which only hurts us more........

I say it every game, if this team had a brain they would be dangerous

I'm not mad about this loss. Great team, fun as hell game to watch. Playoff hopes fading fast, but that's nothing new.
I was glad to see Ariza out there in the closing seconds, but I still have to wonder what Herb was thinking about and not playing him for more of the game. Only 11 minutes, I thought he guarded Wade better than anyone out there.
I was also very happy with Crawford. He was only 3-11, but he did a great job setting up the offense, and even made some nice defensive plays. I can only imagine how scary that 3 guard rotation would have been with a jump shooter like the *old* Houston.
Too bad moral victories don't count for anything at this point in the season.

you can tell Herb was pissed at crawford in the postgame interview. He was basically yelling! you can tell he's sick of the collapses. He said they have to take better shots down the stretch which is a clear jab at Crawford. I wish we had Allan Houston just for final possessions and nothing else and Crawford on the bench.

If I was HErb, I wouldn't be getting too mad. I mean, I thought that substitution was stupid because Ariza was ice cold. I'm pretty sure though that he won't be making a substitution at the last moment again though
