NGL, I'm worried. Getting big Miami 2023 and Indy 2013 vibes. We are not built to out-tough this team and we're dragged into a dog fight. We've been thoroughly outplayed for 6 out of 8 quarters and the way they are beating us is sustainable, and the way we are making games close through big 4th quarter runs is not. This team needs an offensive renaissance type of game in the worst way. The offense that was historically good for much of the season needs to show up in this series or we are cooked. And if it doesn't show up for at least a couple of games, then yes it was a gimmick all along.

If were gonna dive into the mud and try to win a dogfight, then go big with Mitch and KAT for more of the game. If not you have to trust Cam and Shamet and get the 3 point attack going. Brunson can barely get the ball up the court to get us into our sets, we need another ball handler out there with him. Brunson is also way too fixated on trying to get guys in foul trouble that the team is not playing basketball for half the game. It's all foul hunting and ref barking. Just ugly stuff all around.

One of the things I noticed last night was that KAT was getting moved out of his spot. You can see that he is the main option on a lot of sets but he was out of position so they quickly reversed it and went away from him. Having Tobias just man handle KAT out of position is one the main culprits. I mean, at one point, KAT was moved out of bounds on the baseline. Refs are letting them do this to KAT. This is post 101. If your main post player is getting moved then you move the primary defender off him by setting a back screen and have KAT setup post on the other side and have the ball swing swing to get him a better matchup. This also puts Detroit in a chase situation which opens up cuts from opposite KAT. Jesus. It's not that complicated.

I feel like they were sending blindside doubles at KAT with Duren last night. He's a great high low passer but one of the worst inside out passers in the league and the numbers back that up.

We also need to get OG going early. Having him work from FT extended is his sweet spot. Keep getting him the ball there. Let him drive and shoot from there.

honestly I think we should be trying to swing the ball to Hart for wide open 3s more. He basically won the Philly series for us by hitting open 3s when their game plan was not to guard him. He hit massive 3s in the Cleveland series a few years back too. He's proven to step up and hit them in big moments, we should be trying to find him because they aren't going to guard him. That will blow up their whole game plan if he knocks a couple down.

I saw that too and that is Josh's fault. Dude needs to look for his shot. When Duren doubles, he needs to flash to the FT line and shoot the damn the ball.

100% I am not sure what is going on with his head. Shoot the ****ing ball. If you have no confidence with your 3 then move up under the 3pt line. I don't care if they call that the worse shot in basketball. You make enough of those the other team will start double teaming your primary players.

Last nights game reminded me of the first Cleveland game. Everyone looked unsure, lots of standing around, and lots of iso-Brunson. The 1st Cleveland game was the 3rd game of the year...What's the excuse for us looking unsure, and tentative on offense last night, game 2 of the playoffs?
