Playing them until the end is what I didnt like. We had enough depth, the Nets emptied their bench.

Its a long season, thats just getting started. We'll see what happens when Precious and Mitch get back.

I hate some of his minute decisions like everyone else —— also doesn’t help when like on Friday we let game go down to wire.
He also has at least 3 rotation players injured right now.

One thing Thibs could be thinking is trying to push the chemistry (get everyone comfortable).

Quick thoughts….

- still not comfortable with Brunson’s play on either end and still think he’s not directly creating for Kat enough
- Kat (so talented & smart) - only things that hold him back are some bad decisions and sometimes a few questionable shot decisions (but SO GOOD)
- Mikal looked better - more comfortable, OG another SO GOOD
- Hart making key plays but both he and Jalen have been sleeping on D
- Pacome playing solid/tough D
- Payne scares me but he’s got nerve/balls to play here NOT AFRAID
- Sims did some good stuff but still a step slow and zero offense —— best asset is perimeter switch ability for a big guy

Martin- hate to ask, but something for your list for UK is code for BlueSky? I’m off twitter now due health reasons and BlueSky is a really great platform.

Haven't watched the Jets in two seasons. Tell me what's gone wrong ? Didn't they have a great draft a few years ago. Team has whiffed on player development ?

Perhaps the players don't like their QB?

So true! Jets are just one frustrating season after another. The team let go of the rope this season once the owner interfered and fired the coach.

Probably the best win of the season from a perspective of a team we should beat, at home, where we took care of business start to finish. Nice to see whilst Brunson has a really subpar game.

The difference between 6-5 and 7-4 or 8-3 for this team probably comes down to nothing more than Brunson being below his standards.

Are we missing Jonny Bryant yet?

Mikal is finding his offensive role. He is coming off curls in that mid range and he is lethal in the corner. He did more off the dribble in Brooklyn and was a better crestor. His ballhandling has stunk here and he has made frequent passing turnovers

100% and good call. I was working on this last night in fact. And I haven't even watched last night's game yet either!

Didn't watch last night's game and still finishing Friday's, so I'll start there.

Does it look like to everyone that Brunson looking to adjust his play-making side of things to the [small] detriment of his shot making?

I think this is a good thing, he is still missing too much but well within his learning curve of sorts?

Another poster put this out the other day and I forgot who: Someone like Kolek knows how to pass where the shooter is going, Brunson still needs a target most of the time and passes direct to where a player is at so far (it was in reference to a Huk play). I thought that was good way to put it.

There it is

Interesting take and now that I think about it the reason we never knew Huk was good on the short roll is because we have only seen him play with Kolek. Kolek is a different kind of passer than Brunson. Kolek sets you up to where all you have to do it score. So we never seen Huk in these positions that iHart was so good in.

Good team win. 114 points on 33 assists and 4 guys scored 20. Our offense is so far ahead of our defense but can't complain holding the Nets to 104 on 42% shooting (Cam Thomas only had 16 after burning us for 41 and 43 last two games) and outrebounding them 47-35. The rebounding has gotten a lot better!

KAT was great again with 26/15/6. He can do it all offensively. And he's definitely not a soft player either. We've already seen him play with a hurt knee and back and he finishes some tough shots inside. Fucking zebras keep robbing him of several And1's each game too. Not sure if putting on this NYK uniform changed him but he's a tough dude now. Fingers crossed that back isn't stiffen and swollen this morning cause that was a nasty fall. But if he cannot go, we should be fine against the Wiz.

Brunson didn't have it offensively but I thought he had a flawless game as a floor general. There was no way we could win games last season if Brunson only scored 11 but his role is a little different this season. So happy to see Bridges put together two back to back solid games. His defense was outstanding and he hit 7/17 from 3 last 2 games. Hart was also great. Loved that little dream shake layup.

OG is approaching All-Star level. When a guy like him who plays such a elite defense can give you 20 ppg, that's an All-Star. He's averaging 19.4 ppg on 51/41/84 last ten games!

Dadiet did some nice things but he also made some rookie mistakes defensively getting lost on screen and allowing open 3s. But I like his makeup and if he works hard and listens to Thibs, he'll be a player for us. Payne is a rollercoaster to watch but brings energy and swag off the bench which we need. Wished we saw more of Huk after the last game but I trust Thibs. He knows how to develop and bring rookies along correctly. And Sims didn't have a bad game. I thought he did some good things late when KAT went out. Had that sick alleyoop and block.

Happy to see Randle hit a game winner. Cannot believe Cavs are 15-0. Flukey or not that's impressive!

JB is adjusting to double teams and being played by PF and long wings. We need to find a way to punish the opponent for that because that is what teams are doing

For, it looks like a big part of his problem is that he is not in great shape. His strength is a big part of his game. Right now he looks more like Duhon than last years Brunson. He also looks slower and doesn’t have the same quick first step and burst. The good news is all that is fixable and he is slowly playing himself into form. Also I keep wondering if it’s any coincidence Garland is having a breakout year and Brunson is struggling. I don’t know why Jonny Bryant left but he is probably missed. I keep wondering if Rick Brunson just had a bad relationship with Bryant because he left in a lateral move. It had to be something because he was looking like the heir apparent to Thibs
