“Cleveland could let Allen shop for an offer sheet but unlike [Clint] Capela, who entered a tough market with few options, Allen is likely to have plenty of suitors, ranging from Charlotte to New York and Toronto,” wrote Bobby Marks of ESPN.

I very much like the idea of Jarrett Allen.

If MR + a pick would net a top ten pick....

Buy low opportunity?

Yeah, he's had some horrible luck. But he was effective when healthy.

I think Blazers fans are too busy worrying about Dame possibly forcing a trade and whether or not they're going to stuck with Enes for another year

Kevon Looney is exercising his $5.1 million option to return to the Golden State Warriors next season, his agent Todd Ramasar told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Of, said Nerlen Noels agent. Doesn't say much for the big man free Agency market if Looney thinks 5.1 is the best he can do.

Very interesting development, and yeah it sort of sets the markets for Bigs.

Clint a Capela’s contract started around 13.5 and grows to about 18 the final year when he is 28. I think that is the top a offensively limited center can earn. He’s better than Noel so that is the range 5-10 Mil a year.

Here's my own big man finisher stat- dunk to turnover ratio. Noel is at 1.2, Capela 2.3, and Robinson 3.2. Noel is a great defender but his butter hands make Even the finishers spot and adventure. Looney can be a key cog in a high level defense and offense. Noel can only say that on line side of the ball.

All these clowns on twitter now are screaming for the Knicks to trade the entire farm for Lillard

RJ is 20. Lillard is 31. I guess these guys had to go to communications or journalism school because they flunked math

That’s why I think this summer we need to lock up Mitch long term. We have all the leverage and if he rejects our offers we just call Noel and his agent

I don't watch Looney but I am looking at his stats: 20 minutes a game, 4pts and just over 5 rebounds. What is the market for a secondary big who is only 6'9" and doesn't shoot outside of 10 feet from basket?

$5M actually sounds right.

I would also consider his playing time and developmental track; he has it with GS, not so sure on other teams, so that would be a high risk move to opt out of guaranteed money.

Also, here is Capela's salary, it started at $15M and that was 3 years ago. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/capelca01.html#all_contract. His contract numbers don't really track with the normal 8% raises so I think it was more about the years and total dollars. 5 years, $90M.

Jarret Allen is looking for $20M per.

Part of the Knicks offseason plans revealed, if they are to be successful to trade for a superstar like Dame or Beal they plan to also sign Obre giving them a potential Randle, oubre, dame/Beal.

I guess a signing of Allen from the Cavs is very possible to replace mitch. This can be a very competitive starting 5. In this scenario i think its better to keep all 4 draft picks to fortify the bench. It might not be a bad plan but I do think RJ can reach close to the height/status of both Dame or Beal. Is the trade worth getting a 5 year championship window? Or is it better to stay on the current path and build a long term contender the way the warriors did it?

Let’s see what happens.

We been flooded with rumors before.

With that said if the option happened this is a solid plan, depending on the other moves done for depth, and the Knicks would still not have a PG
