We read "Has ties to Thibs"......fans start to go there.
Read "on good terms with JVG which could lead to him returning"......
Media does this extension thing and makes assumptions.
"He looked at a women, could lead to him hiring one"......
"Change the letters in his name, N-O-E-L, and its been rumored he is not really Jewish?"
"Change the last name letters to S-O-E-R and its an old Portuguese noun for "to be accustomed, used to" Rumor is this is Dolans way to tell knicks fans that "be more accustomed to losing.

your gonna read a lot of connective crap in the coming weeks.

The thing that worries me is he is essentially unfireable as we’d be making an enemy of CAA, and I suspect his pay packet will be eye watering to be worth leaving CAA for.

Not for a while, he has to move all his clients to new agents, divorce himself from all roles and financial stakes in CAA and de-certify as an agent, as you can’t be an agents and team president at the same time as it’s a conflict of interest

So I wasn't fully aware that Leon orchestrated The eddy curry trade, The Melo trade, and the Bargiani, 3 franchise changing trades/signings, and other melo getting us to the 2nd round once, those trade were not good in anyway.

Was he trying to get his clients money an exposure in a big market or was he looking out for the knicks and their best interest?

I do know that both Curry and Bargiani were better players prior to playing for the Knicks

and poof! Just like that he is going to shift from doing what's good for the player to whats good for the team right?

Rose can succeed and I hope like hell he does. But we have no clue about anything. Who's his GM, who's his coach, what's his vision for the program, what's his strategy to team building, what's his strategy for acquiring high end talent... you know real world info beyond "he good" and "Mills bad"

Not sure if someone posted this elsewhere, but interesting take on Rose from Melo at Bleacher Report: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2875592-im-still-in-shock-nobody-knows-knicks-new-boss-like-carmelo-anthony.

What is really interesting to me is when Melo talks about Rose possibly leaning on him for advice.

He expects that Rose will lean on him as he navigates his new job, as Anthony knows the Knicks organization better than anybody. "I'm sure he will," Anthony said. "We always talk about that organization anyway. We always talk about the Knicks. He has players there. He has Frank [Ntilikina]. We've always talked about organizational structure. We've had plenty of those types of conversations."

Melo with the Frank love. Wonder if this portends good things - and patience - seeing Frank grow with this team long-term instead of throwing him overboard before he becomes who he's going to be (a defensive first-team stud and passable offensive player). One can hope.

The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

After 7 yrs of no playoffs, how many more yrs do we wait for frank and knox, who may never work out.

Steve stout, world wide wes, and leon rose, that group is going to be gunning for stars.

Stout knows you can upgrade your brand with out a star (state farm hire CP3 through stouts advice)

Leon rose has been trying to get a star in NY for how many yrs

World wide wes can make sht happen, he has more connections than Jay-z and Labron combined.

Rose had melo. Melo wanted NY and His agent made it happen.
In the end Perry and Mills were respectful to melo and Melo was in kind very professional about how it ended. We don't know the extent of why players view the organization as crap other than what we have read.

Yes he is and he is an idiot. What exactly did he want the fans to do? Boycott? Fans are showing Dolan how we feel by heckling him. What exactly can we do?

Was a surprisingly long segment. They were tough on Stoute. From what I heard, sounds like a big house cleaning coming. Repeately talked about bringing in a new coaching staff, mgmt. Wasnt shy about it. Perry and Miller were not mentioned. Stoute said he couldnt comment on Rose.SAS lobbied for Mark Jackson as HC.

I liked Kellerman more on whatever the hell that show is where the reporters debate. On his show with Steven A he tries too hard to make controversial statements and it comes across that way. Skip actually believed what he said. Kellerman comes across as the guy they told to act like Skip to me.

Bottom line is the Knicks are screwed if they do and screwed if they don't. If they traded for Masai the line would have been "how do you trade assets for a guy whose strong point is using those assets". If they waited it would be they are wasting a year. If they wait to hire a GM it is they waited too long and the guy will be unprepared for the draft. Right now it is they moved too fast and should have waited.

One thing all these guys over look (the ONLY guys that I heard point this out was Michael Kay and I think Hahn and I listen to Dipietro, the Knicks wall, Locked on Knicks, and multie other national and local podcasts) was that Rose is being hired as the President NOT the GM. He will hire a GM. What if he hires a Kenny Smith, or a JVG, or a Presti even as his GM? He has to hire a general manager. You will probably never hear Rose's name again.

I'm really surprised to hear the scope of his role- when he was hired I'd just presumed he'd design a new cap or apparel or something

Thanks for posting- man, I've been spoilt using Knicks Fan TV, Knicks Film School etc for my Knicks coverage, I'd forgotten how annoying ESPN staff are

They need to clean house.

Dolan wants a star in NY and when he fired phil and gave the ship to MILLS and Perry, he was under the belief that those 2 would attract stars base on their relationships.

Stars didn't come because the knicks prioritize tanking which is the main reason Melo and KP wanted out

You will be hard press to bring in another President that is going to do the same thing as mills and phil just did.
