Playing Frank

It is really getting sad that Fiz hates Frank so much.

It has reached a real sad point.

It’s inexcusable to have not used Frank already in this game.

And let’s not start with his offense.

Fiz might be the most disappointing performer so far.

my biggest fear is we trade him for a late 2nd round pick and he develops somewhere else

Real fear

He is getting a really rotten deal here. I’m souring on Fiz so fast. No reason Frank didn’t see action unless he is sending him a message and I don’t think is one he deserves.

Fizdale ****ing sucks.

His disdain for Frank makes absolutely no sense. The kid plays hard and his plus / minus was the best out of the three point guards. Smith is terrible (great trade), he is the Dion Waters of point guards, not sure how he earned minutes.

Our front office however, really outdid themselves signing four power forwards and no quality guards.

If the plan is to win 25 games and bury Knox, Frank, Dotson and take minutes away from Robinson, mission accomplished.

the good news is that we shot badly and are only down 8. Still a long way to go

The good news is we aren’t giving up. We are fighting and mounting some runs.

But this looks like a team that doesn’t know what to do out there.

To be fair there are a lot of new players. Gonna take some time

The PG who will stick will be the one who gets the vets to buy in, and fall in line. Smith/Frank/Payton, have to get buckets and keep everyone involved. Be a leader. Long season, game 1, way too early to hit the panic button.

To be fair, that’s what we said last year. Game 82 we still looked like we had no offensive plan. Even Fiz admitted this team was NOW ready for set plays. It’s looking like excuses right now. You can look rusty or still heating up. This team looks lost, like they haven’t had a practice yet.

Very alarming for Year 2 of the Fiz era.

Im hitting it, but on Fiz.

Year 2, he still looks like a mad scientist more than a real coach. He sells a plan and I’m ok with just seeing signs of it.

But none available

Love the game threads. Team is fighting. We would be right there if not for silly fouls at end of first half. Randle, Morris and RJ are showing good signs. Payton came in and ran the offense much better. Liked RJ defending the point. Had trouble running the offense but to be expected in his first game as PG in NBA. This is a whole new bunch of guys. Takes lots of time for guys to gel. Even teams made up of All Star caliber players needed many games to develop chemistry.

Negatives where that Frank did not play but that might be because Fiz is committed to a 10 man rotation tonight. The way Dennis looked, he may be the one sitting next game. He played like a guy who either had a bad back or one that has lost all confidence and does not want to be on the floor. Either way, very troubling. His body language is his worst trait right now. Other negative was team IQ at the end of half. As mentioned, dumb fouls with Spurs in bonus. Good teams know how to take advantage of being in the bonus and know how not to foul when other teams are in it. Think Trier put too much pressure on himself. He needs to let the game come to him. And I hope I don't see any more three hand off sets of offense. If that is Fiz's idea of new offensive scheme, I will be worried. May be that with all new players he is trying to keep it simple but that's a high school level set.

Don't know how N is in the doghouse. He hasn't played enough to screw anything up.

This...Frank just needs to be patient and stay ready. If the pgs continue to struggle he will get his shot eventually just like he did last year. We all knew one of Frank, DSJ or Peyton wasn't going to play...The Frank apologizers are in mid season form after 1 half of basketball...SMH

Starting Payton in the second half shows a "you suck, you sit" mentality. Wish we could see more team play, screens, however.

Randle showed surprisingly good open court speed on the breakaway dunk.
