I dont think you get it. The posters complaining about Phil are soooooo past Melo fitting or not fitting. We know he needs to move on. We know arguing that it was not his fault alone, is useless as its all personal opinion. It's also not about KP or WIlly. Both who are good guys. Its about the KNICKS! And the fact many dont see what we see. Phil is not the guy to construct a rebuild. The Lakers knew this. Some that played for him knew this. And we should now know this based on how he has carried himself and the choices he has made. From hiring coaches that he can control. (Not best available) To trading for guys that fit his style. (Not young rebuild guys) To being 30 years too old to be they guy who is here for the long haul. Unfortunately, we have seen all this before. Warkenstein, Gabriel and Mills are all pre-Phil. I am not sure who he was talking about. I thought pulling out Mike Miller was pretty good.

The response from the kids has been positive and there no longer is any incentive to continue dealing with older players to fit Melo's timeline. At this point it's a waste of energy arguing over comments made by Phil or the players.

Why did Knicks not go all in with triangle? Rose was not comfortable and if Phil was told "let the guys figure it out" and they succeeded without full triangle, thats "adaptable".

This comment ignores the fact that the Triangle is only a system and NO SYSTEM actually wins games. You need talent to win. The Triangle has been in use since it was invented by Sam Barry before WWII, He was Tex Winter's coach. It was used to win a lot in College ball. Tex enhanced it. Cotton Fitzsimmons used it back in the 70's and Phil won NBA Titles using it. Many teams have used parts of the Triangle over the years. If you are talking about one system that was used to win you'd be hard pressed to come up with a more successful system.

All that matters now is building this team up with great talent so that they can win and hopefully become Title Contenders. Who cares if they run the Triangle as long as they win.

You can choose to follow the media tripe about dysfunction but there is no dysfunction at this point. Just a team trying to develop its young prospects.

If you actually paid attention to the team and how they're responding, you'd notice the young players are learning, playing team ball and giving max effort. They're looking better and more confident. That's really what you should be focusing on!!!

Second, Melo has been asked to move the damn ball for YEARS!!! You think that crap doesn't eventually get F'n annoying to watch him not do it? It looked like Melo finally got the message last year but no! He went right back to his old tricks. It's not just about HIM!

Third, you really don't know WTF you're talking about if you think Sasha isn't helping the younger players to learn how to play the Triangle. He's a flawed player but he does know the offense and that helps to have a player around that knows it front and back.

I don't get you at all really. These complaints you have are really not core issues for this team. You seem to be totally missing what's really going on. Are you still watching the games??? There are some good things happening despite the losing. Developing players that are part of the future.
Minus the overpaid Vets you can see better effort and execution.

You get off watching a few d leaguers on partial contracts play hard and do whatever is told of them, they have no damn choice if they want to remain in this league. But a guy like BJ,lance, Melo, Rose that have already establish what they bring, those guys want to play to their skill set.

Those young guys can play hard all day, but they don't have the skills or IQ to win games, which is what matters at the end of the day..
