Reggie Jackson is the best player in this trade... as is the trade is even. If the Knicks get a 1st round pick on top of getting the best player in the deal, some one is smoking Crack.

TWolves fans seem awfully reluctant about this deal. Judging by the comments on their forum on SB nation, they don't want anything to do with Drose either, making a trade sound a lot better.

If the trade is just Rubio for Rose? From a straight up bball POV, we will have gotten away with highway robbery. DRose is a joke and Rubio is a slightly above average PG.

That is what it is seeming like to me. Down the stretch there might be some repercussions with his inability even when factoring our shooting prowess on the floor but this looks like a sweet deal to me.

rubio has really elevated KATS numbers on offense by giving him the ball and open looks... if we get rubio KP's numbers are going to rise on the offensive end.

He gave it a try and that has to account for something. At least give him credit for that and also give him credit for trying to make the proper adjustment. It's really getting tiring hearing about the Phil complaint. You guys acting like he inherited a championship caliber team.

Rose was always considered a risk, and a sort term aquisition if he didnt work. He didnt work, so why not try and get something.

The problem isn't Rose..The problem is the coach and the triangle..The coach doesn't coach defense...Phil and Rambis are the only ones who want to run the triangle..Coach knows it and players knows it..He has undermined his coach..Been singing this tune for three years now and everyone want to point fingers elsewhere..

Short of bringing in Bron to run the triangle..It doesn't matter who Phil brings here..The coach has to coach his system and the players have to believe in the coach..Phil will only bring people here who listens to him..It's not a healthy environment..

Great. Do you think its wise for the knicks to invest 20M per year for a borderline allstar only if they find the right coach, he stays healthy and if he tweaks his game. Thats alot of things that need to fall into place.

So the answer is to keep flipping the roster/coach every six months and not look at the root the team's/organization dysfunction?

I do think they should trade Rose and definitely not re-sign him.

But, I also think that the Rose experiment exposed some serious flaws with Hornacek's game planning.
