Most will consider GS stronger to the pt of Western invinciblity since they also weakened their toughest Western opponent at the same time but I would not take 2-3 odds on GS to win it all next year. Only one ball, less size and potentially less depth could expose them in certain matchups. Never a LAC fan but hope they can make a move to get stronger and challenge

Huh? No way.

You don't like Iggy?

If we're really going into full blown win now mode then I agree with iggy

What do you mean"IF"??

Honestly I never know what Phil is doing. I've given up trying to pinpoint it.

Right now it's truly hard to tell. I am down on the Noah signing and squandering of Rolo as a trade asset for one year of Rose. I mean there's no point building a team for a second rounds exit, may as wellgo teh whole hog. At least Iggy plays defense with the best of them

The negative part of my gut is telling me that he made desperate moves to entice KD and that's how Noah ended up with 4 yrs. I'd prefer not to think that though. The Rose deal I'm a little better about but I'm still not happy about losing Lopez
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Cleveland should focus on landing dominant inside players - interior D will be GSW's glaring weakness, problem is those are fast becoming extinct.

I hope that wasn't the case as well - KD was never coming year. He would either stay in OKC or go to a sure shot winner - No one in their right mind would choose the Knicks over the Warriors

Whoever puts NYK back into the finals will be KING like LeBron was in Cleveland. Thought Jackson would negate the Dolan factor but Jax does not appear to have wide connections or any magical allure. Hoping third time is a charm with Westbrook

Once they signed Noah they were out of the Durant sweepstakes. Durant got $27m per season. Knicks had $30m in cap space before Noah. Only delusional Knicks fans ever though KD was a possibility. They never even had a meeting. I'm assuming Phil was not delusional and realized KD wasn't coming even before the Rose trade.

I actually agree with this. I think the Warriors will be more vulnerable in certain ways. There's only one ball and their interior D will be weak as hell. If Draymond gets injured they are screwed. They're putting a lot of weight on Dray now. Ezeli, Bogut, Barnes did a lot of little things for them and dirty work. That's all on Dray at the moment.

Agreed....Durant gives them another great, great player but it didn't address their main weakness that was exposed in the playoffs vs the Cavs and Thunder. If you look at the last minute of Game 7/finals, the Warriors were trying to get back in the game by jacking up 23 footers....They had no one that could get them an easy look 7 feet and in. Durant doesn't really change that approach in any way because he too resorts to 18 foot fall away jumpers when the chips are down. They will stemaroll through the rg season, no doubt, but a healthy Clips team or the Spurs now that they have Gasol could give them some match up problems in the playoffs.

I hope we can somehow move KOQ to make space for Ezeli- pipe dream but would be a nice backup

Lebron did the same. Once he wins a few rings it won't be an issue. This is worse for the league though. Durant might win the 7 rings Lebron was expecting. He's joining a team of stars in their prime unlike Wade. GS is so much deeper. This isnt fair

ACtually, Lebron, for what it is worth, did not come to a team that had been in consecutive finals, and might have won two in a row but for a flagrant foul.

Miami had a first round exit the year before James and Bosh showed up.

You also had Bosh having to change his game for the team to be effective.

I don't see it as the same thing.

Warriors had a great chance of winning it all without Durant this year...KD is just jumping on the bandwagon.

Players might not say it out loud, but many are probably thinking that Durant took the coward's way out of OKC.

Yeah, I see this as worse than what Lebron did. There's a difference between forming a big three and riding the coattails of an existing big three that already won a championship ring. Even if he joined the Spurs the nucleus of that team is about to change over to form a new big three.

And there's no real life equivalent people can really draw to our everyday lives. Durant is a rare athletic who are the ability to carry a franchise and he decided to just jump on the bus. Weak.

Next year Klay becomes a free agent and maybe he chases the money. Its his choice.
Warriors will be a bit thin in the bench. Does that matter? It did in the finals.

The warriors have that "Simpatico" and that looks like a fun thing to hook up to.
Warriors beat OKC, but lost in the finals. Nothing is a given.

BTW, how does GSW stop KP6????
Thunder should be in Seattle. Phuck Clay Bennett and his lying stealing ass ways. Oil is dead, OKC peaked and Durant was smart to leave that eroding racist cowboy bullshyt gig. Westbrook will be traded......why?

Westbrook will be traded, they won't lose him for nothing.

You mean Curry...Thompson becomes a FA after the 2018/19 season.

Westbrook might be traded, but he does not have to do a sign and trade, so a team which takes him this year, might also lose him after this year. Unless you know that you're signing him after you trade for him, you won't offer as much for him, I assume.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

I could see Boston unloading all of those future 1st round draft picks, Jaylen Brown and maybe even Isaiah Thomas in a package for Westbrook IF he commits to a long term deal with them.

We offered two starters and one of our younger guys who was just getting it together for a one year rental. Westbrook is a far better rental than the one we got.

No thanks that guy sucks. He had all the opportunity in the world after Bogut got injured and he stunk up the joint. He did not even look like he belonged on the court.

Hopefully KP gets better at postups because Green did a fine job of exposing KP on both ends of the floor every time we played them. If Green ever gets injured that team is in for a world of hurt. They are tissue paper soft on the inside. They will probably get some good bigmen who are ring chaser on a minimum contract to cover up those holes anyway.
