Thid misconception that melo never played with this quality of talent is as far from the truth as anything stupid. When Amare was relatively healthy he never pass the ball to him. It would something like, melo 25 SHOT ATTEMPS, AMARE 8 ATTemps. I wouls feel more confident given the ball to Amare them lopez.

MDA, and Woodsons communication, was nowhere near the skills of phil jackson. MDA quit base on melos play, woodson gets fired base on his philosophies.

How can anyone be surprise at the play of melo after witnessing the transformation of MJ amd Kobe who were the biggest ball hogs in the history of the NBA, prior to phil.

Ha another brilliant post. Completely shoots down the idea from Crush & the other other that Melo never had talent on the Knicks. Yea Amare was complete trash. It's not like he wasn't a multiple Allstar, 1st team all NBA, took Duncan to game 7 with his mezmo rising play. But yea Amare was a nobody a bum lol

Holy Shit. I forget when we played against San Antonio in the playoffs with Amare. When was that again, guns?

Incase you haven't notice you are one of the ones certainly at the top of the list, who I refuse to engage with ever again in regards to the Knicks. Goodnight Jrodmc

The importance of the distinction alludes me.

KP is having a better rookie year due to the presence of someone who justifiably is the center of gravity of the offense, so he doesn't have to be.

This is both accurate and not a knock on KP. Why is it being regarded as such?

because it contains the word 'melo'.. dont you know, you can't compliment him?

Good to see you now crying about dragging down the community. Hypocrisy at its finest. Glad to see you are enjoying the Knicks again, and that last sentence was not sarcastic at all... I honestly am, because few people's words were more miserable to read about here than yours. You rubbed our noses in it at every opportunity.

Sorry guys... eat crow.

Oh.. and go Knicks.

His contract is still garbage and will be worse if he gets injured and misses significant time. Again it's year 13 for Melo at $25mil per. Melo gets injured we go back to wining under 30 games aka the H20, Dice, Curry & Amare years. Cap hell and nothing we can do but let the players contract expire. Now I hope that doesn't happen especially with the way Melo has been playing and the chemistry with KP being near the top of his recent success. But if he does get injured don't worry I will remember to return the favor and rub it in your face from time to time

I entirely miss the point of this post.

Whose $18m plus contract isn't a hinderence of the player gets significantly injured?

What team isn't taking a big step backward if their best player is injured?

You seem to be taking common sense point and implying it applies uniquely to Melo. Maybe I misunderstand you?

Don't worry about it. As long as Fishmike knows exactly where I stand today

So asking a fair and relevant question isn't appreciated.

No, it's obviously not, but it you'd care to spend some time dividing 124 million by minutes missed by injury, you're sure to move up on someone's "list".

And we all know just how important and relevant that is.

Right, and they lost the lead the had built early in the 4th.

They won the game in the 4th, they just didn't outlast the Celtics chipping into the lead.

Well I never took it personally and neither should you. I certainly dont want to make this or anything about you vs. me.

I am comfortable with saying that of the guys who flooded thread after thread with volumes of Melo negativity for the last 2 years you are or were among the biggest culprits, and I gave very specific examples which you repeated constantly and daily. The specifics I am talking about the 3 points I mentioned over and over. Two years dude. Over and over again.

Couldnt have a OK4 vs. Towns chat (you are certainly right so far on that one) without having the thread turn into your doubts about any prospect developing here with MElo on the roster.

Couldnt talk about future FAs without you turning the thread into Melo's terrible contract making $30mm a year at 50 years old and our cap is forever ruined.

That was UK for two years amigo and you were a big driving force in that. In refuting those three points I became the Melo jock rider which I am most certainly not. So you certainly rubbed Melo and the team's failures in my face yes. I dont hold resentments Guns, but I am not above taking a jab or two after hearing that crap over and over, and you shouldnt be above taking a couple jabs either. You have it coming to you. Take it like a big boy.

Relax fish! No one's hating on Melo. So what if all the things we've been saying about Melo through the years are true. SO what!!

As long as he's playing the right way this season finally is all that matters. (until that changes)

So they lost enough momentum to lose their entire lead and go down by 3 in the fourth, but had enough momentum to regain the lead and win by 6?

That sort of defies what momentum is when you let the other team take a 3 pt lead on you, but okay.

so would you say you are no longer having concerns about *any* prospect developing next to Melo?

I guess when you sit through a couple years of bad posting and agendas it takes some time to detox

What Knickoftime said.

A handful of guys sat through two years of nonstop Melo hate and Guns there was no bigger culprit than you constantly daily reminding us that
1) his contract is garbage
2) we would be better off just parting ways
3) he's going to ruin this environment for any high pick/prospect we bring in

OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

But if he does get injured don't worry I will remember to return the favor and rub it in your face from time to time

yea? Melo isnt a max player? You have rubbed my face in it for two years. I am comfortable with my opinions and views on the subject.

As for rubbing it in my face in the future... Guys get hurt. It doesnt make you stupid for drafting Greg Oden. It just makes you unlucky.

Come on Fish I rubbed it in your face? So every time we argue about the team and the players and you disagree I'm rubbing it in your face?

dont bother with fish he believes what he wants to believe
You know nothing about me. You are not in any way shape or form qualified to answer for me. Thanks. Perhaps stick to making non-points and then saying "thats not what I meant." Feel free to place me on ignore.

Here comes the part where you say "relax" and play it like you are cool and everyone else should be as cool as you. I am as relaxed as it gets. I just have no interest in your drivel or your passive aggressive prattling on the subject.

Relax fish! No one's hating on Melo. So what if all the things we've been saying about Melo through the years are true. SO what!!

As long as he's playing the right way this season finally is all that matters. (until that changes)

Fish explained the issue quite clearly. Lack of reading comprehension doesn't change he is right.

KNicks had a 1 point lead at 11:26 of the 4th and were behind of tied in the 4th from 7:22 to 4:18 and again at 2:44.

They didn't hold onto the lead in the 4th. They won the game in the 4th.

Melo went down in the 2nd quarter...

Right, and they lost the lead the had built early in the 4th.

They won the game in the 4th, they just didn't outlast the Celtics chipping into the lead.

let me clarify...They held on to win the game primarily because of their momentum in the first half.

So they lost enough momentum to lose their entire lead and go down by 3 in the fourth, but had enough momentum to regain the lead and win by 6?

That sort of defies what momentum is when you let the other team take a 3 pt lead on you, but okay.

Just slowed down a bit from the momentum in the first half and then picked up a bit.

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree
I hope the "trade Melo and make KP the focal point" crowd watched last night
