NO but something you might want to consider is subscribing to ballstreams. You can watch all previously played games there on demand in addition to watching games live. It is a lot like seasons pass but you pay for a period of time rather than a season. I believe you can get a six month subscription for $59.00. You can freeze your subscription so that you don't use your months over the summer. I live outside of Rochester but my cable package doesn't offer msg2 and the Knicks are blacked out whenever the Sabres play. I used to stream those games but read a lot about ballstreams and decided to get it. League pass wouldn't work anyway because I am in the Knicks market. I have been very pleased with ballstreams. I use a roku to watch games. You can choose home or away feed and all games are available to you regardless of your location. There is a lot of info about ballstreams. There is a great thread on clutchfans that convinced me to get it. I think if you google it it will come up.

How did NDour look better than Thanasis? He didn't look good on either ends of the floor

You can see he has more potential to impact the game with his defense and jumpshot. And he plays taller....

Not a gigantic difference, but I thought NDour was a bit better. He also has a college track record of being able to shoot the ball.

I almost think that Fisher should let Thanasis play 30 minutes and tell him to look for and take open shots when they are available, no matter what the result. He is not looking to get involved in the offense, for the most part, and there is no way he makes this team, or any team for that matter, if he continues on like this.

grant will be adequate but i am not certain he is an nba-level athlete.
travis wear is way too methodical, like he's thinking too much. he needs to get quicker and tougher.
thanasis looks like a short guy with long arms and not much skill.
ledo looks like an inefficient scorer.
early looked terrible.

i was impressed with kyle anderson on the spurs....

...who is an NBA-level athlete??!!

Grant was clearly tight...

Early looked terrible??

Tough to judge Ledo on 12 minutes.

There might be an adjustment period for Grant but he got to the line a lot tonight and made his free throws. Of the guys on the bubble, I thought Ledo looked a guy that could develop into a really good player. Ndour to me looked a lot better than Thanasis. Wear was solid. I am not sure if Thanasis is an nba player. Hopefully for him it was a bad first game. The French kid doesn't look like he is ready either.

Expected more from the French kid, who has played pro ball for a number of years, now. Maybe he had the jitters, too. First time in the U.S., perhaps? I liked him more with his wild hair, though. I did not even recognize him when I saw him on the sidelines.

With Labeyrie it's hard to make any kind of judgement off that one game. All I could tell is that he has pogo stick 2nd jump ability which I like. He's supposed to be a good shooter in addition to being a high energy player. The adjustment may be effecting him early on so i'd like to give him more time to get comfortable before really making any kind of judgement on him being ready or not.

Thought I would see a more confident guy on the court. He's 23 and a 4 year pro, although his minutes have never been too high, topping out at about 22MPG. He's played almost 140 games in Euro ball, which is the equivalent of 4 college seasons.

Hopefully he is more relaxed next game, but he did not stand out much in game one.

Wonder when he actually came over to the U.S., and how long he's been practicing with the Knicks.

Ndour was crap on defense. Always lost his man and he let average ball handlers get the best of him. He is just energy and 0 brains.

Aha! Thanks for telling me about this. This is great. Finally watching the first game now.

I wish they'd do this option for the regular season. I'd pay up to $19.99 a month for the ability to watch every NBA game. But I guess that's not happening with the new TV deal.

If you look above in the thread I posted info on ballstreams. I was skeptical but I can tell you that it is a great service. The thread on ClutchFans gives you a lot of info on the service. Also, if you go their site they have info and I believe they have a sample that you can try. http://www4.ballstreams.com/

I love it. We have a lot of games blacked out for Sabres games so it was the perfect solution. Games are in hd.

First impressions after finally catching the game:

Jerian Grant - I like this kid. He played a little out of control and seemed nervous. But he still flashed to the rim a lot, whether on a cut without the ball or a drive with it. The give and go between he and Porzingis in the 4th quarter was a thing of beauty. I think this guy can be very very good. He reminds me a bit of Jeff Teague or Reggie Jackson, but he's bigger than both. I think a backcourt of he and Galloway can be very good this year. I'm curious to see how he looks next to Afflalo as well.

Porzingis - Promising first game. He's aware on offense and moves around well. Seems to have good awareness there. On defense, his size guarding guys one on one obviously causes problems for people. The big hole I see is rebounding. He's just very unaware of where the ball is going for rebounds, a few slipped through his hands and at times he got bodied out of position. He definitely needs to get stronger. But I could see him contributing ten points per game and maybe a block or two this coming season. I think defensively he will be okay, rebounding needs a lot of work (which will come with strength), offense will be solid. I think he'll be able to get better shots once he's stronger, but the fact that he is not afraid of contact is a very good thing.

Early - looked much better. Quicker, more decisive, more confident. I hope to see some of this improvement carry through to training camp and the season. It'd be nice if he could earn some rotation minutes.

Galloway - whatever, he looked fine. Obviously just there as a sort of mentor. He's a rotation player for the team.

Wear - I liked the way he played. I'd consider him for one of the last roster spots. He's a good rebounder and plays smart. Kind of like Lance Thomas, but I think a better defender than him. I think at the least he's earned a training camp invite. Wouldn't be shocked if they signed him to the minimum before the end of SL.

Ledo - saw some decent things from him. Had a great alley oop pass and a great finish in traffic on the fast break. Otherwise seems to float in the offense and not really know his spots yet. His defense is so so. I'd keep working with him and keep him around for a roster spot. He's got a lot of untapped potential.

Ndour - I was impressed by this guy. Active on D - good finisher, a nice block. He might be worth a look as our final big. Would think he might earn a training camp invite if he keeps up this level of play.

Labeyrie - Meh. Didn't see much from him. He seems quite raw still.

Thanasis - ... this kid disappoints me. Very good at defense AT TIMES. No offensive game at all. He was pretty terrible overall in the game. He might need a season or two in Europe.

Will be interested to watch continued development from Grant, Porzingis, Early, Ledo, Ndour as we go on.

Everyone was jumping for joy on the Grant for TimJr trade but Knicks might regret that one..

Why? Thjr was a Low IQ chucker.

Knick fans have zero patients when it comes to draft picks..It's like they have to see them in another uniform before they appreciate their talents..

The low IQ chucker will fit in well with what Atlanta is doing..

And plays no defense, and really doesn't do much offensively other than hit some 3s.

Grant fills a more important need and doesn't need to be amazing...just solid. Take care of the ball, create some chances, hit open jumpers, and play some kind of reasonable D. I'd be happy with him being a decent rotation player, who gives us at least some potential at his position as opposed to Calderon.
