It's very possible that they've made up their minds on Jose. He Clearly can be replaced with better options. Maybe they are thinking of a trade for another pick.

So is there no feedback/tweets/reports on Winslow workout for the knicks yet? I am use to the knicks iron curtain on workouts but usually something leaks.

Knicks won't even let the media interview him after the workout, so if any things going to leak, it will be from Winslows camp in a day or two.

That even more strict than in the past. They would at least let players do interviews with the media. Though even at 4 there is a risk they could have a player scooped from them by the Lakers, wolves, or philly so I won't begrudge them for having that attitude to the draft.

Its a bit annoying but it's better than letting everyone know exactly what's going on with your team and plans for the draft. I feel better about this process so far. Then again they may eventually put something out for public consumption.

The Knicks may not put out much info but other teams are. Willie Cauley-Stein worked out for Denver.

Willie Cauley-Stein flashes potential in Nuggets pre-draft workout
by Christopher Dempsey

Among the tattoos on the right side of Willie Cauley-Stein's neck is one famous phrase.

Hakuna Matata.

No worries.

It's a large part of how he views the pre-draft process.

"I see myself as the No. 1 player in the draft, but it is what it is," said the 7-foot, 240-pound former Kentucky standout. "You can just take it day-by-day, put in the work and the draft is going to be the outcome of whatever the draft is."

Is he mad at not being mentioned in the same breath with former Wildcats teammate Karl-Anthony Towns or Duke star Jalil Okafor, the first two players expected to be chosen.

"You can't get mad about it," he said. "You just gotta work for it."

Hakuna Matata.

It's not clear whether Cauley-Stein will be on the board when the Nuggets seventh overall pick comes up, or even if the team would select him if he was available. He worked out for the Nuggets on Monday.

Cauley-Stein's biggest asset is his defensive ability. He's arguably the best and most versatile defensive player in the draft, and if you're looking for a comparison think of a taller Kenyon Martin, the former Nuggets forward.

Cauley-Stein is a shot blocker who can steal the ball as well. He's long and athletic and quick. He's perfect in situations where the defense is switching on screens because he can guard pretty much any player on the court. He's got good hands, as evidenced by his background as a top-flight wide receiver in high school, where he caught 14 touchdown passes and had 1,140 receiving yards as a senior.

He played three years at Kentucky, and this past season he showed up on pretty much everyone's all-defensive team, and he was named AP first team all-America. He's the first player in Kentucky's tradition-rich history to block 200 or more shots and have 100 or more steals.

He's going to help a team immediately at the defensive end.

Offensively, Cauley-Stein remains a work in progress, and that's the only thing keeping him from being considered a top-tier prospect in this draft. He was able to show an improved jump shot in the Nuggets workout Monday, both from mid-range and out to the 3-point line, even though he'll likely not take that shot in the pros.

"I showed today that I've got good mechanics on the shot," he said. "Showing that I'm confident in my shot and I can consistently make it."

He said he has "kind of" seen teams put him through a battery of offensive challenges in order to get a grasp on just how far he's come on that end.

"I feel like they do the same thing for everybody, though," Cauley-Stein said. "They put you through the same drills, it's just to see if you can do the same move over and over and over, and make or miss you're doing it with confidence."

This is a video with some bits of WCS interview and a couple of shots, tho they don't show the ball.

Here is the full Video of WCS interview. He seems very calm, mature and well reasoned in his answers.

yeah poasting and toasting just confirmed

As far as I can tell, workouts are totally closed this year. No media before, during, or after, in-house coverage included.

Apparently, the only way we'll hear anything on certain players is from other teams workouts.

Winslow workout for the Knicks sounds like it was a success.

Adam Zagoria, SNY.TV

One day after watching fellow Roc Nation client C.C. Sabathia pitch at Yankee Stadium, Justise Winslow worked out for the Knicks on Monday at their Tarrytown facility.

“He did a great job from what I’m hearing,” a league source told SNY.tv.

The 6-foot-5 Winslow, who helped lead Duke to the NCAA championship in April, was not immediately available for comment.

Former Duke point guard Quinn Cook, who worked out for the Knicks on Friday, said he believes Winslow will be an asset for whatever team he joins.

“Tremendous, versatile, a great defender and just a one of a kind,” Cook told SNY.tv of Winslow. “I think he’ll do tremendous at the next level…He’s excited to start his workout process.”

Sources said Winslow will also work out for the Philadelphia 76ers, who have the No. 3 pick in the June 25 NBA Draft.

DraftExpress.com recently elevated Winslow to the Knicks at the No. 4 slot, with 6-5 point guard Emmanuel Mudiay sliding to No. 6 to the Sacramento Kings.

The site previously had Winslow going No. 7 to the Denver Nuggets and the Knicks taking Mudiay, who will work out Tuesday for the Knicks, as first reported by SNY.tv.

“The Knicks sported the third worst defense in the NBA last year, and don’t really have a single player on their roster that projects as being above average on that end of the floor,” DraftExpress.com wrote in its latest mock. “Justise Winlsow’s toughness, unselfishness and track record as a winner should be attractive to a team that struggled with chemistry all season and rarely looked to be on the same page. He’s intelligent enough to pick up the Triangle quickly, should have no problem playing the 2 or the 3 alongside Melo (at the 3 or the 4), and has all the intangibles you look for on a team that needs pretty much everything at this stage. Don’t rule out a trade either, especially if a more immediate contributor becomes available.”

Winslow did meet with the Knicks in Chicago at the NBA Draft Combine and has now attended at least two Yankees games, including one with Carmelo Anthony.

“I think it would be a great group with the pieces we have around us, but that could be said for all the organizations that are trying to draft me,” Winslow said in Chicago. “I know it’s a great organization and they’re trying to win so I would be very happy to be a part of it.”

Bloody ridiculous that we don't get anything but BS about the guys we try out.

Have to see vids from other teams, I guess.

Of course loose lips did not help the Good Ship Curry make it to New York Harbor.

No it's totally silly and ridiculous to keep it secretive to this degree. It's a freaking basketball workout not a CIA denied area operations meeting with a flipped Iranian nuclear physicist. Come on Nix, do you ever not toe the party line?

I like what the Knicks have done this year- in the past info has leaked out well in advance, so this year they've taken the new approach of flooding the media with rumors that we are interested in everything and everyone- now when the truth does get out, no one will be able to tell it from the misdirection.

I think it's because we are picking 4th and we have multiple holes to fill....So Phil wants other teams to know that we like everybody, so we can pick the best trade scenario available.....Or at least explore all the possible options, before selecting at 4. Gives us more flexibility during draft day. Whether we use it or not is a different story.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

Yeah, I'm glad the Knicks aren't tipping their hand. I hope they continue to not tip their hand. I feel like that really screwed us in the Steph Curry draft.

The Warriors wouldn't have taken Curry if the Knicks interest was kept a secret? Why?
