The point of this thread isn't about MDA as a coach vs. Woody as a coach nor is about the current state of the Lakers vs. the Knicks. You guys only do that because you have NOTHING of substance to make your case about the point of this thread. You've lost the argument and only want to kick dirt on MDA. The point is that the Knicks are still making use of MDA's offensive system. That stuff is working for this team. Many of you guys hated on this system and tried to make it seem like we'd move away from it, but we're still running Spread floor, high PnR and shooting 3's at a league leading pace. ie. MDA Ball!!! Refute that or don't waste our time.
Not sure who hated the MDA offensive system. What they didn't like and rightfully so, was his lack of focus on defense and his seemingly inflexible coaching style. He will dismantle the lakers before changing anything about his schemes. At the very least Woodson is taking concepts from the offense that MDA tried to run here. If it resulted and continues to result in a better offense, why wouldn't he? What does this make Woody? A good head coach who will incorporate what he has learned with the talent he has to work with. You seem to want to stick up for MDA. His offensive style of coaching has shown to work....especially with the correct mix of players. He is a very good offensive coordinator.....but since Phoenix, has not been a good HC.
