Sign and trade him to Houston like BRIGGS suggests for Jeremy Lamb and #1 pick.

Of all the stupid **** I read here - and there is a lot of it - this is one of the stupidest things suggested.

Sure. Whatever you say, chop suey.
Your comment and MDA badge makes no sense.

That may keep our second unit scoring very efficient, while Melo and Lin can handle the first unit scoring if Woody can teach them to play together.

But if Amare moves to 2nd unit who is our third big in the first unit assuming JR is the 2? We lost Fields and if Melo plays PF who will play SF? BTW -I still think Amare should start but I think him playing majority minutes with Kidd and Novak can be potent.

I like the idea of Shawne Williams coming back for the vet min. He just got bought out by Portland. He can hit the corner 3 to give Melo and Lin space and a target to kick out to. He's also a good defender and can guard most PFs pretty well.

I also want Jeffries back. He's a defensive wizard and highly valuable.

Jeffries -- we were thinking along the same lines.
Extra-E is available? Didn't know that I would like him too. But damn, Odom woulda been nice.

Do you need Jeffries if Shawne is signed? Also, I have brought him up too but how is his knee?

Shawne was a good defender. I have just grown to like Jeffries over time and want him on the roster even if he plays little.

Yeah, bought out or a little contract that helps balance the salaries in a trade.

If Lin's contract is back loaded, I would prefer to get Felton. The guy is a solid player. I just can't see this team getting its self back into the same hole that it was in a few years ago. If Houston over pays Lin, I have no problem seeing him go, and I hope the Knicks FO feels that same.

Maybe we can match but with last year as a team option, in case of a career ending injury?

people forget tahn kidd has always been a good defender even at his age. nash despite being a great facilitator was probably the worst defensive point guard

Then why were you fighting with me when I was telling you we dont want Nash & Kidd is a better fit lol

the last year already is a team option.

it's a totally reasonable contract to match. the exact same guaranteed money as the landry fields deal. 4th year is a team option.

knicks would be insane and bad at business and basketball thinking if they didn't match

Lin has set his market. Now, I hope he gets back to the Knicks so they can give him the same amount in his contract but in a balanced amount so it doesn't hurt us musch. If that can be done and ue still signs Houston's offer sheet it says he doesn't want to be so work a sign and trade or let him go kill Linsanity.

You gotta admit, it has a nice symmetry to it.

Only one thing matters with our "awkward" roster. Does Kidd make the guys around him better?

You damn skippy.

And Tyson and well Fields...

Agree, too. I'm glad that there's at least a few of us here
that see the fallacy in signing Lin to such an albatross contract.

Every contract has potential to become albatross, so what? BTW, you can't have an albatross without Alba.

i tend to rationalize any move the knicks make within two hours of them making it. i'm an eternal optimist with regard to the knicks.

Would be a nice backup plan to camby. Shawne will take the vet min. Can hit the 3 and defend
