Philly also has a back to back to back
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

The Schedule makers didn't do those 2 teams any favors! I can't believe how they smashed all those games together late in the season when teams were due to be worn down. Knicks have a legit shot to move up, even if there very little time left.

I've become convinced that the way to go in the playoffs is to catch the Magic and get the 6th seed. Pacers are a perfect matchup for this team. Lines up the Heat in Round 2.

For some reason I feel like we can beat the Heat in Round 2, but not Round 1.

not only that but Philly six of its final 7 games on the road. brutal finish to the season for them. i don't think the knicks will have to worry about finishing ahead of philly anymore. heck, milwaukee should be able to catch philly.

perfect matchup would be Atlanta but its going to be tough to catch Boston. I know we abused Indy the two games granger shot his mouth off but they are a far better team than Atlanta as evident by their record. Playoffs are different look at the Rangers-Ottawa series. Ottawa took 3 of 4 in the regular season and the Rangers win game 1 of the series

All that matters is that the Knicks get ahead of the Magic and get away from the Heat and Bulls in rd. one. This team needs to play as deep into the playoffs as possible, cuz the longer it goes the better their chances of getting to the finals.

...there is less than zero percent chance of catching the Magic or Celtics.

hope for the Bulls - Knicks have at least a chance in that series. they won't win a game against the Heat.

Yeah I guess it's looking more and more like it's gonna be the 8th seed and Knicks v. Bulls. Not what I wanted to see happen, but that's at least a team we can match up against very well. It's really about mental toughness, effort and discipline when you play the Bulls. I just really hoped this team could catch a break and get out of the Bulls or Heat 1st rd. match up.

The reason I said the longer it goes the better the teams chances, wasn't the obvious reason, but more to the fact that they need a warm up series so that they could get the opening jitters out of the way for the young guys. Also it would give more time for STAT to get his game back. Having a tough 1st rd opponent just doesn't allow for the team to get it bearings.

Doesn't matter who we play, either bulls or heat, it's still a challenge and we got guns..

We lose when we don't rebound and we miss Ft, outside of that, we are as good as any team in this league..

I'm not really worried about not having a better pg then bd against the heat or bulls..Rose will always be guarded by shump, and miami hardly plays coles or chalmers, and even ifthey do are they really a threat..

I'm not sure if losing in the 2nd rnd or or 1st rnd makes much of a differnce. the object is to win a title and if you have those aspirations, then you should be ready for whoever, whenever..

This team was screaming contender before lin even surface

I love your optimism and wish that I shared some of it but we are far far from as good as anyone in this league. If we get back a good Stat and a good Lin then we can fight.

the funny thing is, LIN had 2 of his worst games of the season against the heat and bulls, so this could be a blessing

The Magic are playing really hard against the Sixers. They don't look like they want to roll over at all. If they beat the Sixers, it could put us right back into the 7th spot.

They are probably better without DWight as are the Lakers without Kobe and the Bulls without Rose and the knicks without Melo

Well that depends on if you feel we have a better shot against the Bulls than the Heat. I think we match up a little better against the Bulls. It's not a major distinction given how good both teams are, but it's not the same match up as both teams have different strengths.

It looks like the 6th will be out of reach. Orlando would've to lose the rest of their games (unlikely) and we'd have to lose only one game the rest of the way.

If so, Id still try to win games but would look to rest a few guys like Tyson more than in a regular game. We have to win, but we need healthy bodies as well.

The Darned Celtics would pick now to be clicking on all cylinders Well now it's all about 7th or 8th seed! Strange that we end up in a situation where some feel more comfortable against the Bulls and others the Heat, while some call it a draw as to which is tougher. This isn't a good spot to be in regardless of where we finish. We got hit by the injury bug at the wrong time. If we can get STAT back with a chance to shake off some rust, that will be a welcome addition.

I think they are both impossible matchups that we have a very futile chance of winning.

I want the HEAT!! I hate the HEAT. If we have one bullet than nothing would make me happier.
