I will say that this stinks of Dolan. You don't let a coach go into a season as a lame duck. It just never works. The players need to know that they have to listen to the coach cuz he's gonna be here. As for this supposed lack of flexibility. MDA put the entire offense in Melo's hands. How much more could MDA change things than to put the complete control of the offense in the hands of Melo a SF[/red]??? It didn't work!!!!
What did work was when we had Lin playing and the team running Team Oriented BB.

BULL SH1T ALERT!! BULL SH1T ALERT!! BULL SH1T ALERT!! BULL SH1T ALERT!! BULL SH1T ALERT!! BULL SH1T ALERT!! BULL SH1T ALERT!! BULL SH1T ALERT!! BULL SH1T ALERT!!

You keep saying this but its embarrassing!

BULL SH1T ALERT!! BULL SH1T ALERT!! BULL SH1T ALERT!!

um. he did. he made melo point forward and melo sucked at it and didn't run any plays anyway.

good thing the knicks found a d-leaguer point guard from harvard who knew how to listen.

until melo came back and blew it all up.

cmon crzymdups!

He did not put the offense in Melo's hands - nobody actually believes that. And Melo is not a point forward - he is a scorer on the blocks.

mrKnickShot, you are a complete ASS!!! I've been putting up with your inane comments this year, but it's time for you to stop posting nonsense. You should be happy and graciously backing off since you have what you wanted now. Just do me a favor and ignore my posts from now on.

nix, no more name calling. thanks.

No. But the coach never win these battles no matter if they right or wrong. when you have dumb owner and a me first player you never going to win.

Well said Spree!

People fail to realize that D'Antoni was never NY

What nba legend comes in here 3-4 yrs ago, tells you Chris Duhon is a starter PG over Steph Marbury
benches and embarrasses the arrogant but skilled Marbs then when his team is down to 7-8 players comes
to #3 Marbury and tells him he's going to start a game in Milwaukee (Knicks lost)

I dont even like Steph and MDA made a Jack-ass of himself

You know he's the only coach whom gets NBA players in his doghouse and MDA never ever won a DAMN thing in NBA (title)

He came to NY, we loved it I loved it from his phoenix resume
then when you losing for 2 months and 1 1/2 yrs to lousy Clippers, Bucks, Kings, Wiz, Pistons, CAVs teams in your own building
and folks boo your team and Chris Duhon you SLAM the Ny fans paying your ticket $$$ and salary at Knicks/MSG.

Good for MDA
let the door hit him squarely on his toooose!

If Melo is ever an issue (here under 12mo.) Then MDA is just as much a problem cause he got put out of Phoenix the same manner
as he left here. Too stubborn and too much lying to public about how things should run in his system.

Bye Mike!

I agree coaches can't win this type of battles since the players are the marketing tool of the business. But to say he wanted to get fired and not wanting to meet half way with his players is an opinion not a fact.

This is the worst bull that could have down.

They've enabled Melo and completely shat on the rest of the team. The rest of the team didn't want this.

MDA wasn't fired he quit. The team should be pissed at MDA for bailing.

agreed 150%
another show he's a loser and soft

if he had GUTs he'd try to finish and see if NY can make .500
if .500 was good enough for playoffs or few gms under then NY can see where it goes

MDA easy way out for all HEAT to come to MELO which it will and has again
poor play and bad season for Mr Anthony

Wonder what happens now if NY makes a run for 8th spot

Tyson, Lin, Amar'e also get props for the way they carried themselves and believed in the TEAM.

Melo has never looked uglier. This guy has a strong chance at leaving a worse legacy than Marbury.

Mike's faith was decided the day Walsh was let go.
It was to much money to lose then but now its OK.
Long vacation will account for it.
Dolan get all he want interim and as any fool he think that he succeed and it is all him.
Now the things will start to go downhill for real.
Every decent person and player in this organization will want out and will be thrown out.
The things Walsh and Mike accomplished in NY were unreal and unsustainable.
The era is over and club is back were it had to be - in the clown role of NBA.
So lets garb some chips and start laughing...
