With that in mind I think we can give him a chance if he wants to come here for the minimum. The first instance of him having a personality clash with any of the other Knick players we tell him to clear out his locker and stay home.

Thank you. Give him 2.5 mil for this year and let him earn a longer contract.

Since we got a nice streak here going, Im actually now against bringing in J.R. Smith. Whose minutes is he going to take?

did we play miami in this streak? chicago?

no. we predominately beat up on lottery team and .500 teams

Agree. You need a JR Smith(39% 3FG last year) that can knock down 3s when Lin or Melo are getting trapped in the half court in the playoffs. Unless you're confident in Fields or Shumpert knocking down the big shot, which they proven they haven't yet.

Yea, but i dont want to stump their development for someone who might be a locker room cancer and damage our already delicate and steadily developing chemistry. Especially after I have seen with my own eyes what a malcontent (Cousins) can do to a once promising team.

Hi Subzero from the past. Alot has happened over the past few weeks so let me catch you up! After your passionate post about the need to keep team chemistry by keeping what you have and developing the youth in shumpert, novak, lin etc, the Knicks have regressed. They actually signed JR Smith, but it seemed to have a recoil effect. Dont get me wrong, JR and his wife have brought many things to the Knick team. More of the players are sporting new tattoos now. Jared Jeffries, Shumpert come to mind (http://pinterest.com/pin/56365432806112870/.

Smith has also helped the knicks up their three point attempts... not much when it comes to three point makes though. Where the knicks were a promising team on a 7 game run, the optimism for the teams success has now been replaced because of a 5 game slide. The youngins, Shumpert, Novak, Lin have indeed regressed due in large part to the minutes that have to be shared now with JR Smith.

He hasnt helped us win games, he has furthered the regression of development for players we need in the future, he is not likely to resign with us this summer, and the team is falling out of playoff position fast. Yea, pretty much everything you thought would go wrong has gone wrong... and oh yea, dont even get me started on Amare and Carmelo.
