i would love if this happened, but then who plays pg?

and im not saying td should be playing pg, but theres literally no one else. unless of course, you count lin, which i don't.

They've looked OK tonight w/ Melo and honestly I think Fields looks good (as he turns it over). I just don't wanna watch TD anymore ever.

neither of these guys are pg and when you play them at pg you take them away from what they do best. we need a pg, not bandaids. that's basically what it comes down to. if baron isn't going to be ready, grunwald should be on the phone trying to get one.

unless he is a top pg its not gonna make our problems go away

Again with that nonsense. Was Felton a top PG? NO! STFU!

Felton was on an abysmal charlotte team no one to pass the ball too and Larry Brown as his coach who doesn't believe in running the floor

so whats the excuse this year? his offense has come down severely since leaving the knicks. karl and nate mcmillan abysmal too?

Like I said in the other thread Ray fit Dantoni's system perfectly which is what Donnie was thinking when he acquired him. Donnie saw beyond the stats in charlotte

really? because i seem to remember the knicks have a pretty good offense with both duhon and felton running the point.

No ****. That was before the trade. If you read my posts i always say i want felton back. Im talking about this years mess

For real, I refuse to believe that there isn't a hungry and servicible point guard out there that we could land for cheap and at least give him a shot. Grunwald better be down at Rutgers scouting out some potential point guards!

Pete Maravich could not fix hands of stone.

Forget blaming this all on not having a point guard. Everyone, and that means EVERYONE gotta be able to pass and catch the rock.

Very good point. some people just dont get it. i mean unless you know basketball. Felton, wilson, gallo all fit d'antpni system. Our offense was great last year all we needed was a decent big man and some more role players

I completely agree with you, but I'm still unsure why this wasn't addressed before the season started. I was throwing out band aids based off what they have. How does no one in Knicks FO or CS not recognize that TD cannot play PG?

I think the issue is that Baron has to play. Who says his back will hold up. Of course a healthy Baron can help.

Would be really nice to find out if Lin can play in non-garbage time

I'm hoping Lin gets in there due to the frustration with the TO's. This is a crucial game so I think MDA is reticent to take a chance on Lin, but it would be a good spot to see what he can do and maybe give us a spark. I just don't think it's a spot that MDA has confidence sticking him in there.

exactly. which is the direct opposite of your point that d'antoni's offense relies on a top pg. it doesn't. it relies on pg's who can make quick decisions with the ball and run an offense. it's not rocket science.
