Lin finally played tonight....judging from the box score, I believe the kid earned the right to continue to play more minutes. He out played every point guard on the Knicks tonight. Watching the game...he looked liek a guy that played his first game with a team. He blew 3 layups, stumbled with the ball for one turn over and hit Balkman with a alley oop he wasn't ready for.

all in all dude earned the right to play. Bibby should be done at the very least.

I think Bibby is done. He was a baller in Sac but those days seem to be in his past.

there was a lose ball that was right in his grasp and a rocket came behind him for the offensive rebound out of nowhere....i think that was his "im done moment"....gotta know when to retire

2 days of practice. Enough time to get Lin practice reps with the rotation.

Yeah Lin can really secure a spot now. He's been playing in the 3 on 3's against Baron. If Lin can get a practice or 2 with the 1st unit that would be what he needs to try and get more comfortable. Then you have a low pressure game on Tuesday.

Dragic looks pretty good as one of Dantoni and Nash's disciple/protege...

Our team just doesn't mesh as Briggs said...
"a poorly constructed team..."

financially it would make the most sense to cut Lin, if we were to add a player back from China or Europe?
But I think cutting Bibby would make the most sense, not sure about after that...

I thought Lin looked good against Dragic. Aside from that block by Dragic on Lin in the breakaway, I thought Lin held his own.

other than the fact that the lead went from 5pts to a 20pt blowout... i thought lin played OK.

he can penetrate and looks to penetrate and actually is a PG and not an ACC shooting guard like toney and iman. but he's raw and seems a little weak strength-wise for the nba. and i'm not sure about his quickness, especially on D.

but hey, why not. sure, start the kid.

ugh, what a mess.

D'Antoni is an idiot. He started off Lin as the off-guard most of the time in the 3rd with TD running the point. Then he actually put Bibby on the floor with Lin (to begin the 4th?). Through this stretch he had Lin hiding in corner. D'Antoni, not exactly playing to his skill set. He became the sole PG when the game was already out of hand. Start the kid.

So you think you know more than a coach with many years of experience on the HIGHEST levels? PErhaps he was trying to ease Lin into the game so that he could get comfortable. We don't know what his reasoning is. Just remember this. Mike was a PG and has coached one of the greatest PG's in addition to many others. He's not stupid and he actually does know what he's doing. NO one could get this far in BB both in Europe and in the NBA if they didn't know what they were doing. Coach K respects him as do many other coaches. Don't assume that you know better than him just cuz you don't understand a move he makes and why he does it.

Yup. In that 17-0 run or whatever it was. TD was running the point and he had Lin camping in the corners. Weird.

Yes and No. If it were our money, then yes. But Lin's salary when you consider how much money we have tied up in our big 3 is like tip money. It might make more sense cutting a guy who is probably not going to be here next year. Then Lin's smaller salary helps us as well. Also, PG's are a premium (for us anyway) and we should not cut the best one we have, seriously, Lin looks better than Douglas or Bibby at the PG position.

Doesn't his contract have to be guaranteed by a certain date according to the union/CBA? And we are looking to sign a Chinese Refugee in a month or so... I hope he shows what he's got now, as he might be able to stick then.

Lin had a -4 for his time, so is it possible the lead went from 5 to 20pts? Wouldn't that be a -15 (I don't really know how they calculate it though)?

I believe the lead went down when Lin actually got to play PG (I think the Knicks actually won the final quarter by 2 points or something). Lin was playing SG/SF when he first entered the game. I credit MDA for making some guys give the ball to Lin after awhile.

Ask me last week. i would flat out disagree with you, but as of today im all for it, Im so sick Of TD, im just done with him.

It's bad enough he's struggling to shoot, and can't run a simple p/r, he can't really pass at all..It's sickning

TD has that rare ability to get off a sick, off balanced 3 in traffic while just finishing check-in at the scorer's table...
