![]() nykshaknbake wrote:crzy, why do you keep insisting Jamal creates for others? A highlight reel really tells the story too. i saw him play a lot in Atlanta the past two years and was very impressed. he developed a kind of ESP with josh smith and bibby. simply: when he was playing with better players, he played better. i think that'd be the case here, too. i can totally understand why people wouldn't want him back. but look at it this way - we get jamal for $5M per year and he becomes HIGHLY tradeable if it's not a fit. i made the same arguments that Felton would be a great fit here and people didn't like him. but Felton worked out. i think Felton is a better fit and would love to eventually get him back. but i think Jamal is a VERY good fit and has a good feel for the moment and would thrive in the playoffs and big games here. you double amare and melo - you will pay. big time. he can also penetrate the lane, which at this time, NO ONE else on the team does. but, again, i know he's not a perfect player or a pure distributor. i just look at the team and see it working. simple as that. i understand people disagree, so i'm not trying to force the issue. i'd just be excited to get a guy who'd feel like a major piece of the puzzle. makes tyson more valuable on offense (remember craw's alley oops to eddy?), makes it MUCH harder to double melo or amare. just feels like a big time fit. defensively, he's improved. i think Craw's defense was made to look much worse than it was here because of guys like Eddy and David Lee being the last line of defense in the paint. that makes a perimeter defenders job REALLY hard. here's a look at what he did with Atlanta. ¿ △ ?

![]() You don't see a way he doesn't pass? dribble, dribble crossover once, twice, launches a fadeaway 3 4 feet behind the 3 point line.

I don't think we would have to worry about the chucking so much anymore, although everyone does take bad shots now and then. He's a scorer though, so anyone who expects him to be a facilitator is kidding themselves. |

![]() I was amped when we got Felton. Hard not to be considering what we had at that point. But Felton and Jamal are very different. Saying that becuase some people didn't want Felton and now some other people don't want JC so JC will be like Felton doesn't logically follow. Throwing alley oops is great in NBA Street but isn't really a measure of someone's distributive ability. It's funny that we have alot of mentions of that and none of his assist/turnover ratio. He's a great shooter but only if you don't take his shooting percentages into account. Everything is basically like you'll see he's really good and in this day and age when you can look at number easily that's just not enough.

![]() Crawford allowed 36.5% FG% in the playoffs - which is fantastic. 41.2% in the regular season. which seems pretty darn good. Within a good team defense concept, Craw can be an effective defender.

I think you're way off base. We all know Jamal isn't a pure passer, but more of a scorer, but that doesn't mean he will just ignore the plays when he's on the floor with 2 Superstars. When we last saw him he was one of the teams stars and took shots accordingly. He's not that guy anymore. He knows his place on this team. |

![]() apparently the trade would not include Toney. would that make people more or less interested? can't tell what that means. seems to imply to me that it just won't happen.

![]() The deal may include Iman. It hasn't been said but Douglas is not a part of the trade.

![]() I don't want Crawford here with or without Toney. Probably would be even worse having both on the team.

![]() We can definitely use Crawford's offense off the bench so you have a scorer on the floor all 48mins especially late in games. No way should he start over fields or shumpert who bring defense and balance to starting lineup

![]() It's good to hear Douglas is not part of the current deal, but i wonder who is. If Douglas were traded, could a lineup of Crawford, Fields, Anthony, Stat, and Chandler work, considering Anthony will be the point-forward?

![]() We better not be trading Fields or Iman here. I don't think management is that stupid. I know this is a business but we need the young guys to root for.
Considering Crawfords age I don't want to trade Douglas either, remember he was hurt last year. (Thought not his brain. Walker and Balkman isn't exactly fair though, wonder what is up. TD was really the only asset in the trade rumblings. Unless it is Landry/Iman, why does ATL bother? I agree. Sounds like nothing will come of it. |

![]() Like I said, he brings thing's we could use and there are liabilities in him.
And that is with any player. He has never played with a true center as well. He would be a luxury to have if you consider his positives and if he doesn't decline. He would be able to play both guard positions can hit free throw's at a high %, which is very important. He can get his shot off at any time, which could be good or bad. At his age he came out of H.S. so we are discounting his year's in the league. It can go either way, no know's what will happen in the future, if he will connect with our players, and team. However, if we get to unload Balkman, that would be a plus. But I don't know if it would cost us TD or even both. And do we still have the exemption to use on Shawne Williams or a player similar to him with Ak47 |

![]() gunsnewing wrote:Something tells me its Fields if not TD I get the same feeling. And I think I'm alright with that too. We are officially a win now team. I like Landry, but if it's him, I'm happy to let him go. We've got a 4 year window. |

![]() gunsnewing wrote:Something tells me its Fields if not TD I dont believe its Fields. I think it's Shawne Williams and some sort of addition compensation such as cash. I don't think they want to lose Crawford for nothing and getting a quality player like Williams and cash makes sense. Williams seems like a natural fit there. Plus something is holding up a deal with Williams. I think it is logical that they are trying to work out of a couple of sign-and-trade pieces, so this makes sense. C Chandler That is a strong rotation with a lot of firepower. I would be very excited about it. |
