You'd think even a broken clock is right twice a day, but so far this team can't get a single win even by accident. I have a hard time thinking this team won't win again but not for their play, but because nothing in life is so consistent, especially on basketball. The Cavs won again, right?

Things are horrible when your team is probably making the playoffs and there is no ounce of you excited about it.

Baby steps. At least tonight I saw a bit more of a confidence on offense. They were passing the ball and moving. Still not great, but it was better. The defense was mostly bad, but they had some good moments which allowed them to get back in the game. They just have to stop getting behind in games early so that they don't have to overcome such huge leads just to be in the game.

You're just saying dumb stuff to try and be funny. No one would ever suggest that this team doesn't have problems on D. The only point I was making was that we lost a lot of the last five games due to poor offense, more than poor D. You know that when you see this team fail to reach 100 pts in any of our losses. But go on and spout lies and misrepresent what people say so you and your buddies and get some laughs.

D'Antoni could have the All-NBA Defensive team and he would find a way to make them average defenders.

Yeah, I went there.

Relax bro all in good fun, but we REALLY SUCK ASS ON DEFENSE. If your offense is sputtering you Need to stop the other team from scoring, there is no defense, especially help defense at all, none, nada, zip, nil.

If the offense is sputtering, you don't need to tighten up the defense. You just have to keep jacking up 3s until you get one out of ten to fall.

Whats wrong with you?

There is a better chance of them not making the playoffs

I don't think they deserve it, but I also think Milwaukee, Charlotte and Indiana will lose games against good teams and make it possible. But they won't earn it, that's for sure.

They're only going to get but so much better defensively as constructed. They do have moments where they defend and get back into games, but the problem is that they just aren't a good defensive team or rebounding team and if they're going to win the offense has to be functioning at a high level. That was the case before the season and after the trade even more so.

We sent away some of our best defenders in the rotation. They also happened to be a solid fit for the system and knew it well. Now we have fewer defenders and fewer players that fit what we like to do. This is really hurting STAT cuz he ins't getting any easy looks. He used to get a ton in PHX with Nash and at least started to develop some chemistry with Felton, but now he gets nothing easy. That has an effect on the other team and in effect great offense is our best defense. Now we have neither.

Yeah the team is in a funk right now. When they won 3 games in a row just before all this losing started they didn't look anywhere near this bad. Sometimes strange things happen and there's no way to figure out how to stop it. The team is on a bad roll.

Baby steps my glass! Any system that is so hard for a veteran team to learn simply isn't worth it, especially one that has always been suspect on defense. You think we just played bad on defense? You may not see it as your love for the coach won't allow it, but our defense has always been bad, no matter who we have on the team. You think D'Antoni will stress defense as the responsible for this loss? No, we simply didn't make our shots. We were outrebounded again on both ends, we were bullied by terrible big men and we couldn't get stops when we had to.

Still, we don't need any help at center. We are fine starting a spent Amar'e at center (that move was genius by D'Antoni, wasn't it?). Yeah, we have no better option, right? Why the heck you sign Jeffries and keep Sheldon? But no, we don't need anybody over 7'0" that while nothing great is still better than everything we have at center and could make Amar'e be more effective at PF. But no, we don't need that.

This team shouldn't be as lost as they are. No other coach would have them this lost and if you disagree you are just biased. Why? Because when a champion like Billups, who had been playing solid this season before getting there, has said he is still lost. A veteran like that is lost, you wonder why the rest is lost? They shouldn't be, not at this point of the season, trade or not. There should've been a tweak in the system to make the players have the best chance at getting wins right now. We did that the first few games after the trade. Since, the system has been spoon-fed to the players and they don't get it.

You say there is an improvement? Give me a break, this script has been repeated over and over for the last month. We come out of the gates without energy, lose focus many times and allow big runs, have to use lots of energy to make a comeback, can't get any stop and trade baskets and then finally lose the game. You get more offensive flow in a game but no defense. Next game you get a little more defense and the offense sucks. Next game, pattern repeats. Improvement? Hardly enough to be excited about.

This is a lowly team. It shouldn't be. It shouldn't be.

Yeah, this is just a strange happening that has no logical explanation. There is no way to figure out how to stop it. We are just on a bad roll.

But at least our coach is good, right? Please, open your eyes.

I think I demonstrated earlier that the 106 pts was purely porduct of more possesio 2ndary to SSOL. Now that we aren't doing that the points per game naturally go down.

Baby steps? There has been zero progress in fact regression. You're still talking about baby steps and patience. And fitting the system? Don't you think it might be time to adapt the system? Do you honestly think this system and coach has a chance at winning a championship?

It was only a matter of time before someone took a LOGICAL stance, although it very well may mean moving on without him here.

Chicago played Chip like D in the last 2min of the Bucks game after being down the whole game to pull it out and win by 8. They played lock down defense.....Amazing. The Bucks didn't do too bad themselves defensively but the Bulls were on another level.
