Yes but is it me or does it seem that he scores most of his points on jump shots but sometimes has diffulties or looks a little slow on the drives?

His shot has been so deadly that I just want him to shoot instead of taking it in.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

No Prob, Marv. That'll be the first back to back gamethread post, but I doubt it'll break my mojo.

I'll just have to make a sammich reminiscent of the MSG Prime Rib and that'll keep the positive energy flowing.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Which is why it's such a good thing we made the trade for players that can get it done even tho our PG stinks at setting up the offense. All he has to do is find a way to get it into STAT and move away. Stars that can create their own shot are lethal in games like this. More often than not we'll be able to play well in games like this due to having Stars that can take over a game. Then when the role players give you anything at all, it has even more impact.

If Carter and Mason can give you games like this on occasion, S Will gets the 3 stroke back, and Amare and Melo recognize that they don't have to do everything on offense, we will be tough. Getting our perimeter players going early may be a key. Gets them into the game and opens up the middle if they are hitting their shots.

Also one of our most complete games on D this year, although the Hawks still got to the basket a bit too often for me.

A number of Atlanta baskets were crazy outside shots where we were playing good D with hands in face- I can live with those kinds of baskets.

A healthy Turiaf complimenting Jeffries will help.

A good team win.

The only thing that concerned me in this game was the lack of ball movement for the most part and very little motion in the offense, half court or not. Lots of "no, you shoot it" going on. It should get better with Billups back running the point but they still need to get it right for the times that he isn't on the floor.

They lost their way for a while but at the end they got back to some good ball movement and the spread offense.

I love JJ Slim for this team. He did alot of the little things tonight. He quietly ends the game with a +11. It also seems like our role players are starting to get comfy playing with the new team, especially Fields and Shawne.

Yep, in the fourth things started to really click. I'm glad they gutted it out, it got ugly at times but they didn't quit.

Only works when Amare and Melo are being generous- then TD is basically a Jordan era Bulls PG.

But all our secondary players become superfluous if Amare and Melo don't buy into the teamwork thing.

Melo did it well today- will it continue?

Knicks also need to set some picks for Anthony and get away from the pure ISO plays for him. He's been looking a bit too much like the bad Amare at times in terms of the charges.

Gustav - agree.

What Toney Douglas cannot do on offense, he do on defense.

Imagine a healthy Chauncey Billups. (take all the time you need to heal)

Loving the contributions of Anthony Carter, Shawne Williams and Roger MASON JUNIOR!

My kingdom for a center.

Yeah Earl, a center is a big need. Glad to see Mason getting some PT. I read somewhere he is usually the first person to show up for practice and the last to leave. Carter must be happy to be able to show he still has game. Shawne put this game away, great shooting. Its also good to see that these bench players are getting PT and taking advantage of it, they could be a big help in the playoffs for a variety of reasons.

The Bulls-Jordan era PG were crazy good shooters. Paxon, Hodges, Kerr, Armstrong ... TD is way too inconsistent shooter.

Gustav - could D'Antoni have pulled a deliberate challenge his bench players by having them run without Carmelo on the court?

The Knicks exposed the Hawks and their weak so-called fans by making Philips sound like MSG.

If Andy Raut8ins is as smart as his running buddy, he will work on his handle like a madman over the summer

Can Mozgov defect back to New York?

Interesting theory Earl, I honestly don't know. It did work out for the best. Have to admit I haven't seen enough of Rautins to gauge what kind of handle he has. Speaking of his running buddy, it would be great to see Fields develop a mid range jumper where he curled from the wing to the elbow. I'm pretty sure he will have a mid range game next season.

I'd love to see Moz back in NY.

Those "Ohhhhhhhs" from the crowd with those late threes by the Knicks were great.

I was at Phillips Arena for the game tonight. What a great game to be at. Team effort with great play from AC, Mason & Jefferies. Arena was majority Knicks fans to the point the Organ Player or DJ got confused and started a "Defense" Chant for the Knicks..made my day. It's just weird how we can look some supposedly great teams look so bad one night then lose to the Cavs the next night. Good thing in the playoffs you only play good teams.

The move to bring in Hinrich doesn't seem to be an improvement IMO. They still don't have a dynamic PG to lead the team. He's more like a solid #2 PG. I don't know if he's better for them than Bibby, cuz Bibby was deadly from 3 and he had a tougher mentality IMO.
