AR has the ability to put up stats. But they are stats in a vacuum. He is unable to play in a team concept and seems unwillingly or unable to pick it up. He looks like he's playing in a different game than everyone else.
He's one of the few lotto picks I can remember to come from a losing team - his team was 14-18.
To even start to compare him to Marcus Camby, who was a consummate competitor at UMass and beat Tim Duncan in college and had Umass in the Elite Eight is an insult to everything about winning basketball.
The coaching staff here tried to get AR to buy in and he wouldn't. So he left. Now he is in Minnesota where he won't buy in. He'll always be in the league because of his size and athleticism... but I question whether he'll ever get it.
I think Darko was more of a missed opportunity than AR at this point. AR just seems like a dumb player on the basketball court. Like he really doesn't get how to play.
