Guess it was too early to have faith in this team. Maybe the playoffs are out of reach this season, too.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Well at least they kept this one interesting. Yea this team isn't that good right now, but damn y'all... don't spend up all your self-loathing and bitterness before Thanksgiving!

Think I should start rough drafting my "50 win predictors need to man up" thread.

If I'm D'Antoni I'm telling my guys, make that f'in ORDERING my guys, not to take any 3-pt shots until further notice -- in fact I'd fine anyone who even took a Goddamn 3. That's what this has come to -- like punishing your kid for doing wrong by taking his favorite toy away from him..The 3 ball for this damn team is like a dangerous toy BB gun that your 5-year-old has no idea how to use and has business playing with...7-31..Gimme a break...HORRIBLE LOSS..TERRIBLE.

Some close losses are tougher to take than others. What pi%$#es me off about this game is that it took one of their teammates getting their tooth knocked out for them to step on the gas and when they had a chance to put them away they slowed it down again and settled for threes. The interior defense was a big problem but what bothered me more is how many times the guards trotted up the floor.

They said D'Antoni wants to run more, he shouldn't be hoping for it, he should be demanding it. Maybe its that "player's coach" rep he has but at some point you have to tell your players to stop fing around and push the ball if that really is your game plan, which it should be.

You shoot 31 threes in a 48 minute game and you are asking for disaster. Even more with the type of shooters we have. Come on, AMARE with a three in the final minute? Thats the best way you have for using Amar'e? This is a mess. We are literally a 3-point shooting team and done. Nothing else. This isn't mainly on the talent. This is on the way the talent has been used. This is all D'Antoni.

But yeah, lets wait and see. Just another wasted season. What else is new?

This is crap. Felton is solid, but why or why does he suck so much at trying to run PnR?
And I mean that, he doesn't suck @ running it, well because he doesn't run it. He tries to run it and sucks at trying. . .

What did Jackson say about RAT LEAVING A SINKING SHIP? I mean come on. You think we won't have a losing streak this year? You think we won't have a period of time when the team gets it going and has everyone clicking? Don't be so fast to jump ship. No one likes how they're playing, but let's not get crazy. There's a lot this team can do to improve and I see no reason why this team won't get it together and eventually learn to not rely on the 3 so much. At the same time I think it's a bad phase that they are missing so many shots and that will turn around.

LOL! Thats against nature for D'Antoni. You think they are shooting threes because they are lazy? Think again. Its the coaches' system. Since the pick-n-roll is so flawed, the only other play we have is long range shooting. We are not gonna win another game playing that way.

I really don't think it is his game. He was just the best guy out there.

Wow, I don't know if I can handle you guys this season.

I'm a Mets fan who is not into football, so this is all I got. 10 new guys and not even 10 games in you guys are running a warm bath and grabbing for the safety razor.

Chill the F out fellas, let's see how this plays out, huh?

A lot of truth to that Kfan...I agree, D'Antoni needs to start really being held accountable. He can't possibly allow these guys to take that many 3s in a game ever again. Not after this stinker. The 3 ball is complete fools gold for this club...It's lazy, low % basketball..If D'Antoni doesn't believe that then he's kidding himself..

I don't think D'Antoni allows guys to take threes I think that is a big part of his offense. His goal is to outscore his opponent not stop him. Walsh brought in some very good defensive players but that doesn't change D'Antoni's focus.

Laundry Fields +9 on the game. Other starters: -5, -7, -2, -13.

Fields always seems to be a plus on the game.

The 3s are ridiculous.

More on Fields: when someone else goes towards the rim with the basket or if the PnR is going on the other side of the court, he makes smart cuts to the basket, whereas Gallo and Chandler just sit on the 3 point line.

Yep, Good things happen when Fields is on the court. I couldn't believe they were jacking up threes at crunch time.

The kid Fields is just flat out a good player. I know he's a rookie and Pringles would never even think about getting this creative but if it were me, I'd run a lot of my stuff through Fields..I'd also want Fields to take at least 15 shots a game..Don't care that he's a rookie -- the kid just needs more shot attempts. As green as he is, he understands already (more than any vet on this team even) what a good shot is and what isn't...I'd rather Fields get 15+ SMART shot attempts up at the basket than just about any other player on this team..And if the shot isn't there I have complete confidence in this kid to make plays and facilitate for others..I know, 'don't go crazy' right? I don't care -- I think he's that good. I want him featured much more. I feel like every game he's gotten 11 pts or so (all in the flow) but could've went for 20 easily if they only called his number more. He can shoot, he's awesome taking it to the rim and like you said he's always crashing the offensive glass looking for putbacks...Dude needs to touch the ball much more, bottom line.

Going out on a limb -- between Gallo and Fields, Fields is the one who has a much better chance of eventually making an NBA all-star game..In fact I think he will make an all-star game some day. Mark it down.

Another stat I hope coaching staff brings up next practice: Curry got his 25 with only 3 point attempt (and he was 100% from there). Says something about our weak interior defense and Curry's better wisdom on offense.

I like this idea. Case in point, tonight's Man of Honor. Who thought his rookie season that we'd watch him be mid-range money 5 seasons later?
