The kid Fields is just flat out a good player. I know he's a rookie and Pringles would never even think about getting this creative but if it were me, I'd run a lot of my stuff through Fields..I'd also want Fields to take at least 15 shots a game..Don't care that he's a rookie -- the kid just needs more shot attempts. As green as he is, he understands already (more than any vet on this team even) what a good shot is and what isn't...I'd rather Fields get 15+ SMART shot attempts up at the basket than just about any other player on this team..And if the shot isn't there I have complete confidence in this kid to make plays and facilitate for others..I know, 'don't go crazy' right? I don't care -- I think he's that good. I want him featured much more. I feel like every game he's gotten 11 pts or so (all in the flow) but could've went for 20 easily if they only called his number more. He can shoot, he's awesome taking it to the rim and like you said he's always crashing the offensive glass looking for putbacks...Dude needs to touch the ball much more, bottom line.
Going out on a limb -- between Gallo and Fields, Fields is the one who has a much better chance of eventually making an NBA all-star game..In fact I think he will make an all-star game some day. Mark it down.
