Its hit or miss.

yeah i know but looking at that huge scoring differential off our bench & theirs tells me he could have played a huge factor in this game... Gallo didn't get it going tonight & Fishlips got way too many minutes, so offensively we were completely hamstrung tonight... i can't understand why Larry didn't get any run tonight.

Its mind boggling how Bender gets more burn than Hill.

Seriously, WTF D'antoni.

David Lee - I cant even hate because his offensive game is so smooth now, handle included. He still stinks on defense though.

Wilson Chandler - Has been playing pretty consistent but seems to play like a chicken with his head cut off.

Chris Duhon - I cant believe I defended him earlier in the season. The guy stinks at both ends. Glad he is expiring.

Nate Robinson - Nate being Nate. He is brought in as a scorer off the bench so I cant get too annoyed. Lets just say I wont miss him.

Jefferies - His few defensive plays aren't worth his complete lack of offense not to mention Carl Landry gave him the business.

Overall I liked how we played. We just need to gut our back court. I'd kill for Mike Miller on this team.

Interesting where is your point for Gallo? Because he didn't show up tonight at all.

Gallinari seems to like coasting for long stretches. I think Gallo needs to play the 4 too truly be effective everygame. Problem is a front court of Lee and Gallo is as soft as cotton candy.

To be fair, Gallo has started to take the ball to the hole but I think he was taken out of the game early with Ariza. That foul had purpose. That was a foul that Riley and Don Chaney would be proud of. He has to learn how to overcome physical play like that from guys who game plan for his shooting. Shane and Ariza were in his face all nite.

Bender is just another vet that a coach fees more comfortable with. It doesn't always translate into better ball, but coaches are kind of funny that way. Hill is so new to all this that he isn't trusted yet. Coaches don't like wildcards that much. I think eventually Hill will get his shot tho. He just needs to keep working hard in Practice, actually work harder! That was one complaint that was brought up in articles recently. Coach wants him to give more effort.

do u honestly see Bender showing more effort on the floor when he's given minutes than Jordan Hill does when he gets minutes?

I am just surprise the guy got in the rotation at all and still remains. It is truly a Disney ready movie. I could see Sam L. Jackson in the role.

CHAOS wrote:Where did the disruption occurr ?? Please explain

Did you watch our offense in the first half when Gallo, Cahndler and Lee were clicking? We were playing like a team, moving the ball and sharing the offense. Then comes mr HHR and he does his so called "instant offense" horse****. He goes one on five has 20 points, 4 turnovers that resulted in 9 pts, gets owned on the defensive end (along with Duhon) and completely DISRUPTS the flow of the game. Get it? Nate robinson takes our offensive players out of their game just by being on the floor. If that's not disruption, I don't know what is.

What I don't get is why Bender starts off in the high post or the corner. He obvious isn't capable of getting to the basket without a clear path. If I was D'Antoni I would just leave him to play a tradition center role. I know it clogs up the lane but he is an automatic turnover machine that far out of the post. His mind is telling him he can still make the moves while his body is just laughing no way in hell.

I haven't seen the game...But I hate playing with somebody like Nate. He's so good, he rarely gives you that pass exactly when you need it. He's always thinking score and attack first. Which is good individual stats. I think he had 1 assist?

So you tend to stand around and watch the "Nate The Great" Show....I think Nate is a great spark plug, for a championship team. But terrible for a young team, searching for chemistry! Again, I haven't seen the game, but ball hogs in general will always take you out your game.

But the blame should be spread out to the coaches too, with that rotation and game plan! Van Gundy made a good point about coaches having off nights too. And with a short rotation, using role players, will catchup to you, especially in the 4th quarter, closing out games!

This was a game where our top three players needed average to above average games. It looks like Galo had a below average game....Chandler was slightly below average, and Lee was Lee. Not going to work against a solid west coast team.

The more consistent these three are, the more games we win....

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

putting him in the lane clogs it up for D Lee... really this guy shouldn't be on the floor at all unless it's garbage time... there are plenty of guys on this team that can knock down a wide open 3... he blocks some shots but he's not mobile enough to recover on help defense... he's a liability on both ends of the floor IMO.

I just got back from watching my jets win.. so I didn't watch the game yet.. but I was wondering why gallo and chandler just combined for 23 shots.... gallo for just 10? Honestly, the way the knicks use gallo, it is easy to get up and guard him.. I wish they run him in some Pick and roll, both as the ball handler or the one setting the pick.. get him more involved... was gallo guarded that well, or did he just get ignored again..

Ariza and Shane brought their defensive A games tonight. It felt more like a playoff game with strong physical play but yeah, they were in his face for most of the night. Ariza's hard foul set the tone I felt on Gallo. It really bother him which Kelly pointed out. He settle for long range pretty much after that. Shane stayed with Chandler for most of the night. I give him credit for beating him off the dribble a couple of times but he and Landry cause him trouble with TOs. Chandler got going when he just push it. It was one of those games where you knew there was going to be contact and probably no call for you. Duhon didn't bother to set up neither one of them. To be honest Lee's points didn't come off any pick and rolls either. He earned his points with shooting and going to the hole. Duhon was a true non-factor.

Conditioning is a real issue with him. He has a motor for spurts and then is glued to floor for long periods. I think it is even crazy to expect more out of him at this point. I read the papers about Hill being ok with sitting on the bench but someone needs to really push him more because the Knicks will need to really expand this roster if they are seriously thinking about the playoffs. These guys will be wore down by March.

i was hoping Hill would get into the rotation after the trade deadline but at this point i'm not even expecting that... seems like MDA's got a hard on for Fishlips & Bender at this point & i don't see that going away anytime soon unless we lose a buncha games & are no longer in the playoff hunt... can't understand it but what r u gonna do i guess.

I think we can make it into the playoffs with the help of Mike Miller. The guy can stroke it and he can play SG because of his handle.
