A few seasons ago I had all my players sign a contract about not drinking on New Years. All my players signed it with the understanding that if they were caught drinking they would be booted off the team. So my team had a party where everyone from freshman on up showed up at one kids house. All the parents were there and they had a good night watching old game films and making fun of each other til midnight. It was a great team bonding expierence. One kid didn't show up and of course gets arrested for public drunkedness. So we kicked him off the team. the next day his father(really rich guy) strong arms our AD into letting him back on the team. I had no choice so I let him back on the team. I told the kid he would be the team manager and had to work his way back on the team through hard work in practice in the classroom etc. The kid had a great attitude and battled to do whatever it took to get back on the team. He became my right hand man and stayed late every night to help with game film and work on his game. He never made it into the line-up again but his attitude was fantastic after that. At the end of the year he thanked me for giving him a shot and a wake up call. At the end of the year his father tried to get me fired. That was just one of the lunatics that I ran across in my days.
I just hope that people will like me

That guy could clearly be the team mascot for the opposing team. I think you should have made that happen Bip. Why didn't you?

Thank God this thread has died

I will revive it since I have no where else to put my meager thoughts since I havent been around and just got a chance to catch the end of the Blazer game (why, why did I have to do that, WHY)

Anywho, we played 3 top teams and another near elite team to the wire and lost. Not looking for any more moral victories as we have about 22 of those but we did not get blown out and we did not give up.

We're 8-7 over our last 15 games. We're at best a .500 team over a long stretch with a losing streak thrown in. No big deal we're not built to contend we're built to...rebuild.

So I kinda laugh at those who had us going to the ECF after a few wins --- and those few clowns laughing and applauding a few "we told you the knicks sucked we're so smart you're all idiots bask in our greatness" losses.

Really not much to make of these Knicks. All things considered Mike has done a good job motivating the handful of players remaining on this disaster of a roster - and those players themselves, who mostly stink as a whole, have done a good job still fighting hard in games.

We're going to keep on winning then losing at probably an equal overall pace to finish out this year. Can't see where the overly optimistic or overly pessimistic and happily pessimistic comments are stemming from.

I guess...it's kinda funny in a pathetic sort of way.

We'll see where everyone's emotions are at come May 18-22 when the Lottery Selection Show takes place. You have no room to be speaking on emotions. One game you promise to us all you'll never Vid Cap another game for the rest of the season and then 2gms later after we get that feel good win over the Woeful Grizzlies here you are like morning sunshine dropping your Vid Cap jewel on the game. I could site several other examples but I'll spare you. Not that the Vid Caps aren't welcomed with great appreciation but please get a grip on your own emotions Son!
