Some of you guys really do have agendas. You "cherry pick" information regarding this or that player, and disregard anything that doesn't fit your position. Some of you should have disclaimers on any of your posts regarding Gallinari. NONE of you know for sure which player(s), if any, in this draft will super, solid, or a failure. I can see certain things that make me think Gallinari will be an excellent player someday, but I don't know how he will eventually develop. He could be the steal of the draft, he could be a solid cornerstone player on the Knicks for the next 12 years, but he could also end up being a just a good jump shooter who never reaches what some see his full potential to be. Why not just give the kid and the Knicks some time?
time? this is ny baby...if he ain't on the allstar team this season, he's a BUST.
Maybe the "this is ny baby" attitude is something that has to be questioned and not just accepted as the philosophy for running this team. The Knicks, at this time, just don't have the ability to throw around a lot of money and instantly rebuild the team, and none of the picks the Knicks could have made at 6 was good enough to turn around this francise. This team has two young players who will hopefully be around in 10+ years, a lot chumps who will just be part of some bad dreams in 5 years, and a few players who may or may not be able to play D'Antoni ball and be around if D'Antoni can survive in the wonderful world of the Knicks and get a chance to put things back together.
Everyone hates to hear "rebuilding" in this town, but it is happening again, and all you can hope for is that the foundation being built now does not crumble like the others have in recent times.
