Isiah yesterday:

"I know what we will continue to try to do here throughout the remainder of the season is set the standard for work ethic in terms of who plays out on the floor and how hard we play."

What, no shooting for the playoffs? Apparently Isiah, the Head Coach, General Manager and Team President, doesn't know that the Knicks are making the playoffs. That might be a problem.

They aren't worried about making the playoffs, just learning how to play hard.

I wonder who Earl talks to nowadays and what those conversations consist of?

I don't think they allow others in the padded room with you.

Damn. I was going to say something similar. Jerk.

I figure him and the brat pack are probably terrorizing some other board right now. Rather than admitting they were wrong and coming and having good discussions with us, they took their shame and left. Pitiful.

I almost want to see the Knicks win 5 straight games, just to see misterearl come out of hiding. Rembee too.

I see he's changed his tune but doesn't come around here anymore. That's plain gutless. To spend months telling us how wrong we were and to now agree with us but not having the stones to post it here is complete chicken****. I see even papabear has completely done a 180, but he was doing that here as well so he gets some credit.

Yup. Kam, as well (although Kam posts here too). A group of others that are recognizable too.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

That's a weird board. It's just one long thread.

Where do they post Jessica Alba pics?

No kidding. Really strange. It's like taking all your clothes and making one big pile and using that to get dressed from in the morning. Weird.

I didn't notice one. I assumed there was some ...other... reason they didn't have an Alba thread.

I'd rather not wonder what he's thinking. That guy was a plain d1ck.

It's funny that this board gets along much better now. There aren't nearly as many flareups as there used to be even a few months ago.

If people had just listened to me from the start, we could have all been a lot happier. Although it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun.

cossucks actually posted on Realgm a little while ago about how the Eddy and Randolph pairing won't work. I doubt he thinks Isiah sucks as a GM just yet though, by now he probably only thinks he sucks as a coach (which of course is also true).

I wasn't on the train instantly, but I got on the train pretty early. It was an uphill battle from the start. Now that we're all in agreement, it'd be nice if we could all be in agreement with the Knicks heading in a positive direction. I hope that happens soon.

"It's not always as bad as it seems," said Crawford, who shared the discovery with teammates. "The season hasn't gone like we wanted, but we've won five of our last seven. We're five out of the last spot with 41 games to go. If we only had 15 games to go, we'd have to pray, and be lucky and hope some things happened, but we have a real shot and I just wanted to remind people of that."

"We still got a chance," said Zach Randolph...

"If we were in the West it wouldn't look good," Crawford said. "But we're in the East, and it's pretty open."

"He's definitely become one of the leaders of this team," said Eddy Curry, who's never been the demanding type, either. "He's been more vocal for a while now, and I think that's what we needed."

"The players trust him," coach Isiah Thomas said. "And when he talks, he comes from a very safe place."

"We'll see," Thomas said.

Presumably the position of entitlement and zero accountability that Steph used to occupy.

bonn - absolutely

All the subtle signs are there for a memorable second half of basketball. Let's review:

10. The Knicks are a league-wide punchline. Har-dee-har-har.

9. Isiah is a hundred times more a GM/Coach pariah than Al Bianchi and John McLeod combined.

8. Newsflash, The Knicks suck. Eddy Curry is fat and Zach Randolph is a stat whore.

7. The last 41 games are a foregone conclusion, isn't it time for Spring Training yet?

6. Playing the "woe is us" card every single day is simply too easy and just a tad redundant. Besides, I've never enjoyed walking in lockstep behind the puveyors of popular opinion. Hold up, Larry Brown just said something...

5. Paulie Walnuts is a Knicks fan, and he lives in Jersey. What Paulie wants, Paulie gets.

4. Marbury not looking at all, or Crawford (at least) giving a teammate a glance... you do the math.

3. Not a single poster who has claimed he is "done" with the Knicks has ever been so done that he or she has stopped watching, ever.

2. If pullin' for the Knicks to win is wrong then I don't wanna be right.

1. Impossible Is Nothing. The Nate Robinson put-back dunk is still sick.

I don't think so. Even the newly stephonless Knicks won't be able to recover in time to make it. The roster is still poorly constructed and coached. I like that Crawford seems to be showing qualities of being a leader though, but I think Isiah is playing him too many minutes.

slimpack - cool. I would submit that Jamal Crawford requires too many minutes to play out and in of his intuitive and streaky game. Play him until his legs burn and his arms fall off from the fatigue of running a controlled break. Leave him on the floor and bring Seattle homeslice Nate for reinforcement.

Here's hoping his off-season weight training lends itself to a hesitatin' and devastatin' crossover move in a fourth quarter that leads to a layup to win a game.
