Actually those 4 trades I do agree with. I should have read your post closer. I do not like the Marbury/Penny trade nor the Steve Francis/Ariza trade.

I think people are little confused as to what you do' like.

I'm primarily concerned with things that hinder the W's and the team becoming Elite. Not behind the scene stuff dealing with matters of who burnt the Thomas Popcorn to the point it can't be served at The Garden.

It's typical. Teams like the Spurs go out and get what they need to win, while franchises like our own dig graves all day long and have no answers to anything. Our arguments are a huge reflection of the many, many problems we face as a team, as one fan to another and as individuals.

1. The Salary Cap isn't a myth.

2. The young guys they gave up in the Marbury trade that hurt were the 2 unprotected #1 picks.

It's really easy to defend something when you leave out some pertinent facts and completely dismiss others.

And what about the disasterious Curry trade that cost us in having to give the bulls two first rounders, two years in a row? I just don't see Modi talking about those things.
I'll never trust this' team again.

He disregards the salary cap because Isiah's handling of it is so incredibly indefensible. You can't even spin it positively, that's how bad it is.

It is' amazing how disregarded it is.

If he'd go back to the drawing board and write a better article he'll realize how bad this one was.

He might even say 'what was I thinking'?

Reverse Backspin

1. Isiah tried to purchase the Raptors, after building the team with a series of shrewd roster moves? That putz!

2. the CBA deal is perpetually misrepresented. Isiah signed that deal with the understanding the CBA would become a minor league feeder system for the NBA. What happens? The NBA suddenly steps in and organizes the NBDL and guess what? ... all bets are off. Think about it, who painted Isiah as a "savior" of the CBA?

Is it Isiah's responsibility that the NBA chose the route it did when it did?

Papabear Says

Mister Earl you are waisting your breath with some of these guys. They are Fakers and Hatters and they don't want the Knicks to win.

earl - isiah had every right to try and purchase the raptors. good for him. but ultimately, that decision proved to be the wrong one.

same goes for the cba. isiah purchased it hoping he could make it a minor league system. his plan turned out to fail b/c the nba didn't want to do business with him.

the point is that he has not made successful decisions in things he tried to set out to do. there's a pattern in his executive days.

maybe he is a good gm or maybe he's just a very good bball scout, but when it comes to making big decisions at an executive level - he doesn't seem to be making successful ones.

Papabear Says

When a man is black balled there is not much he can do. We all know what happened with the CBA and yet it's Zekes fault. We talk about Zeke trading for certain players we know that he can never get because of who he is. Lets watch this season unfold. What people keep talking about is that they hate is smile or his smirk. No matter what they say no matter what they do they will never be able to break Zeke. He is one tough brother and if you don't think so, how many of you hatters think you can whip Zekes butt in a fare fist fight??? Blue!!!whatever!!! Ha Ha Ha

Papabear

Auh yes. The old 'turn to violence when you can't win'. You conveniently forgot something! The (cough-cough) sexual harrassment? Yes? Blame that one on us!

Martin, Andrew, is there anyway for you guys to edit or remove papabear's offensive posts? I don't mind daily posters judging me on the content of my posts, but some people skim read, or perhaps someday you'll have a search function and people will search under "racist", and I don't want to be judged by the number of times my name comes up because papa continuously acted the fool.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Mind your own business.

I'll repeat my question to you in the other thread, do you add ANYTHING meaningful to the board anymore or are you purely here to attempt (badly) to antagonize the "haters"?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

You're right. Why did Martin say "bye papabear." Is Martin the one who's leaving?!?! He liked papabear so much that he was the only poster Martin said bye to?!

4949: "And what about the disasterious Curry trade that cost us in having to give the bulls two first rounders, two years in a row? I just don't see Modi talking about those things."

4949: "Modi Cossucks, you guys want to conveniently translate players into other players by discarding the parts of the trades that don't promote your views. If you want to look at the whole picture, look at the draft picks traded away #2, #9,

Both these points are clearly addressed in depth right here: http://www.cosellout.com/?p=134

"the straightjacket he has put us in with the salary cap" -- this statement repeated often my the flawed media does not apply to the Knicks. If there is any concept that I would urge haters on this board to look deeper into, it is this one. It is detailed in depth right here: http://www.cosellout.com/?p=131

Am I the only one that found 4949's posting style a difficult read?
