I went back and read many of the threads in which we had exchanges last year and for the most part there was an equal level of nastiness from both sides. I'm sorry if I ever said anything out of line to Bippity10, nyk4ever or anyone else, back in the summer of 2006. We all have opinions and as such there are bound to be differences. Sometimes things get out of control and we say things we shouldn't. I'm not going to apologize for my specific opinions on what I thought the Knicks would or wouldn't do. No one should have to apologize for that.
Let's just agree to end this already, cuz it's crazy that it should carry over this long.
Or you could be a better man when questioned by what you said just simply say "I WAS WRONG" and this is "HOW I FEEL NOW". Regardless we're used to the fact it's a 100% lock you aren't going to go against the grain of what this organization does. If they FLIP-FLOP to the fans you're cool with it, as long as you can hold out your hope in them. The REALIST say enough is enough, stop lying and pacifying and stick to a real plan. We also want accountability from the top, so it can trickle down to the players.
You weren't part of the arguments back when it started, but you've been on my case this summer for some reason. I don't know if you just wanted to join in on the fun or what, but there's no need to try and provoke me any further when i've just attempted to calm the waters. Earlier you called me a flip flopper. Then I pointed out that you can't call me a flip flopper when it's not my plan that the team is carrying out, but Isiah's.
I've remained the same dude. What i'm saying now is no different than what I was saying last summer in terms of liking the direction of the team, the moves and draft picks made and thinking it can be a winning team. I base that not on blind allegiance, but on what I perceive this team is capable of doing. If that is viewed as blind support for the Org. It's merely a coincidence. I wasn't saying the same things when Layden was running things. I didn't like what he was doing with the team. I haven't liked everything that Isiah has done and i've posted those dislikes. I even started a thread bashing some of his moves.
What's further I don't feel that I was wrong in my assessment of this team. As i've stated many times I felt this team should be a
.500 or better team last year and I think they could have reached that goal. Because of the mass injuries that hit with 20 games to go, we'll never know. They were 5 games under at the time. That's just my opinion, so why do I have to apologize when no one else has to?
