Anniversary vacations last more than one day. They get scheduled mmonths in advance. Eddy didn't even know Aguiree was hatching this idea up when he scheduled his vacation.

Yeah, because when the team gets together at summer league it isn't something planned out in advance.

When you have 5 months off and tens of millions of dollars, vacations can be planned that afternoon. Or maybe you think Curry is on Travelocity months in advance, booking his trip?

"Honey, I'm sorry but I have to postpone our trip for a few days. To make it up to you, we'll go away for 3 months instead of just 2."

that's crap man.

You could also say that Aguire knew when Eddy's vaca schedule was going to be and didn't make 1 iota of effort to plan around it or at least make an effort to post-pone it by a week.

Isles, you know how much planning went into Eddy's vaca? Cause I wanna know how many people were going, how many extended family members, how long and where. I hear those trips down to the Caribbean for a week can be re-arranged for 12 poeple in a day on Travelocity lickity-split.

Just cause summer Leauge is happening doesn't mean big men were going to show up. And Randolph was just traded for a couple of weeks ago, right? Curry was supposed to re-adjust for that?

You are about as far out as nixluva is some times.

Half the team and entire coaching staff are there for the summer league. I'm guessing it wasn't a spur of the moment gathering.

When you have 5 months off and millions of dollars, do you take the entire extended family for a wedding anniversary vacation or do you plan a family vacation for another part of your 5 month's off? I find it extremely hard to believe that his vacation schedule is that inflexible.

That nixluva comparison really hurt deep.

Curry should take his kids out of school during April/May/June for a week or 2 right? That's a good thing or do most wait until summer to go on vaca with their family? Like, in the beginning of summer. July for instance.

Just as you are guessing about everything you just responded with, I am guessing that Curry was too busy in April/May/June working out to go on vaca during that time.

Based on past history, which guess is more educated?

It's still July isn't it? And kids are off in August, right? Are his kids, the ones he has custody off, even off school age?

All of us are better off not discussing the personal lives of the Knicks. Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley, Anthony Mason, John Starks, Larry Johnson, Latrell Sprewell... we're acting like this is a new thing. Our Knick heroes aren't saints and if we were winning, NOT ONE STINKIN ISLESFAN would make a peep about workout habits.

Just win baby. All this talk about personal lives is dumb.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Come on, if his wife is "understanding" enough to watch him knock up multiple different women, I think she would understand if they had to postpone a vacation for a couple of days.

what the world needs is more understanding.

Guess what, it's not my fault that they aren't winning.

Care to talk about the reasons why they haven't been? For once.

I can't believe I woke up to a new, 6 page thread about an anniversary vacation and decided to read the entire thing.

I am hearing from several different sources, most recently from Hahn's blog that was posted a few pages back, that Eddy has been really going at it and working out this offseason. The fact that he planned an anniversary trip with his wife should not even be an issue here. Everyone was so quick to reject the concept that Eddy was working out, most saying that results were all that mattered. Just because speculation took a negative turn, we don't have to wait for results?

Thus is the ways of ultimateknicks I suppose. Maybe we should switch to a less touchy subject such as abortion, gay marriage, or the latest Marbury interview?

Sooo...which is it, Isles?

Eddy Curry has 5 months "off" to pick and choose when his anniversary should happen, or he should spend all of his off-season working and preparing for the upcoming season?

Maybe we should all wait to find out what Eddy has been doing with that time off before commenting on a subject we have no clue about.

Who said he had to spend "all" of his off-season working and preparting for the upcoming season? And he does have 5 months off to plan an anniversary trip.

You guys better hope that he can actually finish team drills on the first day of camp next year, unlike last year when the Knicks couldn't stop talking about how great shape he was in after working out with Tim Grover all summer.

Is anyone upset officially from the knicks at Eddy?

Berman got a job to do which is whip a story up.

And it seems like many a knick fan took the bait and ran with it.

IF Eddy is doing his job off season, then comes to camp early and works out before camp opens, then who gives a rats ass if he hits strip joints with Z-Bo. The trade happened a week ago.

Eddy would not be going at it hard in Vegas, and him just chillin with Z for a few days is not big deal.

Plane tickets and hotel rooms are not always available and not everybody is stupid with money. Some vacations are very hard to duplicate in short notice. IF eddy is reasonable with money, then he is not going to spend crazy money. Not everyone with a big income is a bone head about money.

Regarding passion of hate, lets just say we lover our team and are really hot over the lack of success of it.

"theres a thin line between love and hate!" A very thing line.

I love people making an excuses for our bigs, they are lazy and should have been there. This is a guy that was out out a car dealership at 3 in the morning last year the night before a game with a women who was not his wife, which i saw and you guys are acting like eddy children from multiple women curry is a big family man, that couldn't reschedule a vacation when he has another two months off. Its not like the guy has a real job and this is something that takes months of planning......

Wow....how judemental. Yeah, we should tell these guys what they should do on their off time. That's what training camp and OFFICIAL workouts are for! And guess what people, the rest is up to the players! If he comes into camp out of shape and it effects his season, then guess what, Curry will have to suffer the consequences. Maybe he'll get traded, penalized or suffer longer effects. But to sit here and judge what he does off the court with his family or another women is none of anyone's business. That's between he and his wife. People net to do like Curry and get a life for the summer.

NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

Just to clarify this point, those wind sprints were not routine drills, but punishment ordered by Isiah because the guards weren't hitting thier free-throws. Each miss = a wind sprint.

Imagine...a big man got winded running a wind sprint with the guards. Oh, the horror.

And no sidenote: Isiah gave Eddy the option of sitting the last ones out, but he refused.

Well sure, he rests during defensive drills.

Wait, your "facts" are confirming that he couldn't finish drills that even Jerome James did? That's Day 1 of Training Camp when he had supposedly been working out all summer with a trainer.

Please don't let me interrupt your excuse making.

Jerome James was on the sidelines with Plantar Fasciitis.

If the skill required to write multiple posts on subjects you know nothing about was marketable, Isles, you'd be wealthy enough to take your family on vacation whenever you wanted.

The thing about Eddy not coming to mini-camp is not an issue.
The big guys mini-camp became a usefull thing only after Zack trage. Right?
So it is just 2 weeks back and a very short notice.
Eddy is not a soldier. He is on the contract and obligated to do ONLY what is in the contract.
It is not his fault that IT is a master of "unexpected" trades.

As the side note this story showes who ownes who.

This is all really too much. The important thing is that Curry comes to camp ready, with an improved game and in better shape than last year. All this recent history stuff is just crap. Players do get better and I think our players are amped and motivated to get better individually and as a team. Last season is over and we need to file that away. We'll see what the deal is this October. I'm sure as true Knick fans WE ALL want to see this team succeed. RIGHT?
