If he can just teach Eddy to jump for rebounds that will be improvement enough. 6 in 41 minutes last night?

Thats it in a nutshell. If Eddy shows up next October in shape and ready to play NBA ball on both ends we can be OK. Otherwise it will be more of the same.

i don't think that happens too often in season 7 for a guyy who's played major minutes his whole career.

they have 2 draft picks, a first rounder from chicago and their own 2nd rounder.

they have some pieces that i'm sure teams would consider dealing for (nate, frye.........um......well we'll just have to rely on other GMs stupidity as well, isiah isnt the only jackass running a team)

so 2 draft picks (which isiah has proven to be good at) and potential for trades (where isiah has been fleeced a few times). should be interesting

no 2nd rounders. 2007 2nd rounder + 2009 2nd rounder traded in the curry deal as well.

So we have one late 1st round pick. Considering every team gets a pick and most will be ahead of us (and most have 2nd round picks and players with reasonable salaries), it's just wishful thinking to say Isiah will improve the team with roster changes.

isn't it conceivable that he could trade nate or frye? even jamal, tho unlikely? even one of our less tradables (q, jj2, francis) if he included the bulls' pick?

btw what's the rule on when we'd be able to trade the bulls' pick, since we traded our #1 last year as well?

Can we even trade the Bull's pick this year? Seems more likely we'd use it, then ship 'em off in draft day trade.

Sure it's conceivable, but they're both below average 1st rd picks. If those are your best trade assets, you can expect teams around you to improve more than you do.

Where do you expect the Bull's pick to be? 20/21? This is the one area I have complete trust in Isiah for. Hell, I almost trust him more with the late first rounders than early.
Not expecting him to find a star or even another Lee, but there are still plenty of very good players out there at 20.

it's the same spot he passed up marcus williams to go for renaldo balkman who was a lock to be available at 29.

it was also the same spot where he chose nate robinson who is yet to establish that he can have a role in the league.

I have confidence that he'll get a nice role player. Considering this team has so many holes, I don't see that as enough to even keep up with the improvement of the rest of the division.
