If Eddy would hit opposing players like he does he teammates he would be an intimadator. Lee said it was the hardest anyone has ever hit him in a game

It was a game you shouldn't lose and I'm glad we won. That is all.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

JJ's solid performance was a real pleasant surprise, let's hope it holds up. Marbs looked good, Mr Lee fine as usual, Curry's O is solid, I was hoping his blocked shot would feel good enough to try again not happening though. Frye stepped up a notch as well. As noted thoughout the thread... nice to have the win. (We still need better D.)

I think Eddy is deathly afraid of getting into foul trouble. I'm really beginning to think that's why he's so very unagressive on D.

eddy, on the defensive end is a total pansy. i've never seen a big man so afraid to play any defense, get in the lane, or do anything. his offense is on point but he's absolutely invisible on the other end of the court.

JJ's solid performance...

Are you kidding? We're talking about Jared Jeffries -- that was more than solid... he exploded for 14 points and 7 rebounds. EXPLODED!!!

yes he was. 4 rebounds bounced right into his arms when he was standing 10 feet from the basket. if you mean the 1 block...then you can have it. they still pranced through the lane like nobody's business. mo evans and vlad rad grabbing offensive boards and putbacks with eddy just watching it from behind. he was invisible defensively.

"Curry not being active enough on D."= invisbl, because that is what I though I saw him say???? And I would agree with that, he does need to better, but that is not the same as saying he did nothing. I know you don't agree, but that wasn't what happened.

This fight is the definition of semantics, there is no need to have it. Watch the game a thousand times and I'm pretty sure you will miss the many times that curry forced the lakers to miss lay ups and the times he stepped out on other players men to have his guy get the rebound. I'm preety sure you missed all those plays and remembered the bad ones.

He wasn't invisible tonight........

replay showed it was Jared's elbow.

A win is a win.

More importantly is how they follow up. They need a win tonight.

JJ2 looked pretty good last night. If that is the player IT wanted, then OK but I still think Balkman can do the same given the time to play.

Agreed about Balkman. I also wondering why Rose was put in when the situation called (screamed) for Balkman.

he was...somewhat. i thought he looked good for the limited time he was out there. you can see a big time improvement from his rookie year.

but getting back to the game...i'm not sure there was anything good to take away from it. after the dissapointing loss in milwaukee, you would think that the knicks would come out all fired up and ready to take on the next opponent. and then you hear there's no kobe and this really should've been our game from start to finish. but both teams played like crap. i can understand the lakers b/c, well, no kobe. but there really was no excuse for our play. we continued making the same mistakes game after game. bad decisions by our guards and again, no defense from anybody. steph hit some timely 3's, a few jumpers by jamal (after another bad 3 quarters) and if jeffries is hitting 18 footers, then there's no way the lakers should be in it...but they were...with a chance to win. ugly ugly game and dissapointed in the knicks effort considering how the game in milwaukee went.

yeah, i know, i'm a hater...whatever.

haha. my bitching is reserved for the knicks...and bad movies.

i had them at 13-20 at the end of the year. i was right there. but i had them going 6-9 this month. they are now 7-7 with a shot to have their first over .500 month since 2004. orlando is in a tailspin. clippers are not a good road team but then we go on a 3 game tough road trip to utah, lal, and gsw.

schedule eases up a bit after the all star break.

how's this...if the knicks make the playoffs...they have a chance to go deep b/c the east is totally out of wack. how's that for a bold statement?

That's a tough one. I think Isiah brought in Rose because we really don't have another post defender outside of big James. If you bring in Balkman in that situation than you are asking Frye to be your post defender. It's possible that Isiah has more faith in Malik to guard the post than anyone else. I actually am inclined to agree with that. There's a lot that goes into these decisions so Isiah is the only one that can really answer it. I won't kill him for it.

As for my own personal decision I really don't understand it. We are 20-27. We won 23 games last year. 30 something the year before that. We are supposed to be rebuilding. The young guys should be shoved into these situations so that they can learn from it.

But unfortunately when you fire coaches every year for not winning 82 games, this is the result. They will go with the guys that make them the most comfortable. Lenny was fired for winning near 40. Chaney was fired for winning near 40. Herb fired for being on pace to win in the 30's. Isiah is on pace to win in the 30's. At some point we need to let the coach's do their thing so they can build and develop. And hire a GM that can help us build a team.

What I say will occur eventually. But will it occur by choice? Or will we need 30 more years of no success to actually decide to do things the way other winning organizations have done.
I just hope that people will like me
