Isiah: we fought hard (at the end of the game), we played our hearts out (at the end of the game), we played good defense (at the end of the game), we were right there (at the end of the game), they kept pushing and shoving Curry (but he could hit his foul shots)....what more can you ask? It just wasn't our night....again!! i am disappointed but proud that our guys gave such effort (at the end of the game).

Hopefully this will be a learning experience for Steph and Isiah. They have to stop forcing the offense so much into Curry early on. it totally kills any flow and the other team can easily defend those plays. I want Curry to be our post threat, but you have to give teams something else to defend.

We do better as a team when the ball is shared more early.

The Knicks will overtake the Nets very soon.

Based on?

Based on the fact the Knicks toyed with the Nets almost the entire game but lost it in the last seconds. Oh wait...

both teams played an up and down game. ny went on a run, nj went on a run, their run just put them too much. Then ny came back mostly because nj missed free throws. they were not toying with the knicks as you say. We almost stole it yes, but they were still playing just missing

Isiah: I'm proud of how our guys played tonight. But give the Nets credit. They were the better team tonight.

Not for nothing but, calling the timeout allowed him to get Craw back in the game who also got a mismatch (Collins) which enabled Lee to get free for the tip in.

Dont know how much the knicks would have done tih 2.8 seconds left even with a timeout. Maybe an off balance 3 by Craw after a little shan and bake at the top?

Isiah is a turd. This loss is all on him and Curry being unable to get a simple rebound. That was pathetic. A few more of these losses and this fragile team will collapse again.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

actually, your assesment is part true. They need to force feed curry, but they also have to realize when the other team has taken that option away. The guards need to get into plan B a whole lot sooner. If they get into the game, then defense will adjust and Curry should be free.

What game were you watching? The Nets were playing mediocre ball all night like they were toying with the Knicks. They built the big lead then choked it up by not hitting free throws.

The Nets are still better than the Knicks and will be for the foreseeable future. Especially with Kidd still playing at a high level.

there is no learning experience--don't get down on your home court by double -dgitis and let the other team control the game. the other team takes some quick shots and misses some FTs and a 9 point deficit becomes a 1 pt lead--but we have to give back some of those games the basketball gods gave us early at the buzzer. win the game everything else is excuse--these players have all been in the nba a fairly long time--there are no babies out there--there are no learning expereinces curry got manhandled tonight and AGAIn Crawford and jefferies offer 0 to the team--so we play short-handed.

Please let's not forget about Jamal Crawford.

He is one of the big reason we are having such a difficult time, his shooting is just horrible and he brought nothing off the bench. Compared to Eddie House, he was a non factor.

Evidently, the one that you couldn't get on your TV.

The Nets are a mediocre team.

I agree, no excuses. I expect more from this team now, they have made me a believer and I believe they should be winning these games. Curry did get manhandled, but also the refs did looked like they were only calling the fouls one way for NJ. They were hacking the mess out of him. Also the team MUST, i repeat MUST have a plan B for when the opponent takes curry out of the game. Oh how about this

Tough loss.

Marbury stood tall, he took it to kidd late, made him look old. He played very well, late, he manned up.

Robinson was over the back, but our big ox of a center didn't box out, If he boxes out, game is over..

Frye dissapeared late again, what is up with that?

Lee is a player, big tip in, but his defense along with jeffries on jefferson sucked..

Q was a stud. 24/9 but too many turnovers..

Tough loss, but the knicks are gaining on nets, will overtake them soon as we learn how to deal with that dirty team on a mental level, thats all.

dont worry about curry boxing out. he pulverized collins to let lee get to that put back it was a blatant foul--but you dont call that stuff at the end. at the end of the game players will sag towards the basket to protect the basket which lead to robinsons hand i dont blame curry there. we were lucky to be 1+ and it just went the wrong way.

What Curry has to do is move Robinson further away from the basket. He needs to develop a better understanding of the opposition's overall scheme.

ISIAH...you need to NOT use timeouts the way you do! Plus, Curry WTF??? Rebound the damn ball. These losses are very aggrevating already.

Plus if YOU want Curry to be effective, the ball needs to be given to him from the get-go. He needs to be involved early because he gets offensive fouls, D-3 secs, etc. That was the befit of Jamal starting. He gets him the ball the MOST easily of all of our guards. Plus it allows Stephon to play off the ball a little more and get us buckets. Though Q had a nice offensive night, he had 6 TO's trying to do what a guard that can pass can do. And then there's Lee who helped Eddy the most with rebounding.

Just play:

Jamal...committed to getting the ball to Curry and KNOWS how to- - most creative passer...allows Steph to SCORE and play off the ball...JC is much more effective player as a starter...look at the stats- ITS TRUE...plus he takes pressure off Marbury and is comfortable being a third/fourth option

Stephon...we need him to be more aggressive earlier in the game...we need him to SCORE more in the flow of the offense...by taking him off the ball, it will allow him to exploit his strengths mopre rather than dribbling out the clock trying to get Curry the ball...plus Q gives him a good outside option to kick the ball to and he and Jamal have chemistry

Q...good D...can guard a SF and play like one...can shoot the rock...has two PG's to pass the ball so he can worry about D and hitting shots plus his rebounding helps us tremendously

Lee.."The Eraser"...he erases our guards and our rebounding-challenged center's mistakes...can hit FT's too...can make plays for Curry and can pass out the guards

Curry...needs the ball early and often...has a great rebounder in Lee next to him and a guard he has great chemistry with in Jamal...also Q can help when he passes out the double on the perimeter and in the rebounding dept. Marbury helps him because it takes the pressure off of him when he is being double teamed because Steph also commands attention

BENCH

Jared...come off the bench dude...you barely play and he should be used situationally...to help with guard D esp if you use Jamal and Curry in a two-man game or in helping Frye (who is offensively gifted enough to be a sixth man)

Frye...as mentioned, offensively gifted enough to be a sixth-man...not a string defender but if you use defensive players around him, esp with guys that can step out and shoot a la Jeffries, he'll be okay playing the opponents second team...OR USE HIM AS THE DAMN BACK UP C.

Balkman...use him situationally as well. Can handle the ball in trasition.

Nate...can be used as an energizer off the bench but he is not committed to learning the pt guard position AT ALL. We should prob get some type of vet guard so we can play Nate off the ball.

CATO...get him out of a suit. You cannot ask Lee to play the 5 when Curry is out of the game and you wont use Channing as a C.

I think Thomas took Frye out because of defensive lapses. But, I think Frye needs to be the second scoring option, especially when he is rolling. We need shooters, Frye, Marbury, Quentin/Crawford around Curry and we need rebounding given to us by Lee. I DONT want to see Rose, Nate, Jeffries unless these other guys are so tired they are doubled over and puffing. Period.
