Where are the boos?

Umm, maybe people aren't quite as quick to the trigger as some of the Knick "faithful."

Some of y'all are like wolves surrounding the heard, just waiting for the kill.

We're down 8 points, not 28.
Dude. I'm an optimist and think we have a chance to win 40 or so this year. But I also believe in crowd feedback when there's not enough energy being shown.

Why? What is booing going to accomplish? I have always had an aversion to "boo birds." What's the point of booing your own team when you want them to win? I remember in 1996 when the Yankees traded for Graham Lloyd, who was suppossed to be good, but he sucked coming off an injury going into the playoffs. I was at a playoff game when Torre brought him into the game and suddenly fans started booing the guy. I was like, how is this suppossed to help the guy who we need to perform well? It's just seems so illogical to boo your own players, that whenever it happens I think it's ridiculous. Do fans honestly think the players don't know they are playing poorly and enjoy it. If you ever played competitive sports you know that losing is not fun. Please. Some fans can be just so self righteous.

Same deal with A-Rod and the insane fact that Yankee fans booed Giambi in his debut with the Yanks at the home opener (I was there) because they missed Tino Martinez. I see this kind of stuff is childish, hence my opposition to booing teams even when they suck. The fact that less fans come (this season's home opener is NOT sold out), is more than enough reason to let management know that fans are skeptical.

It will let the Knicks players know that their effort sucks.

It they're honestly trying and the effort is there I agree with you, booing is stupid. But if they're hardly trying on defense and they're showing no passion then booing is not only justified but should be expected.

Isle, c'mon man you're a smart guy. Do you hoenstly think that the players don't know that they are stinking it up, and need fans to remind them? These are grown men, not 2 year olds. Anyway, many psychologists today would argue that negative reinforcement is not very effective when it comes to improving productivity, and in fact has a good chance of leading to the opposite effect. That's the argument against Larry Brown, of course. Tough love only works when the love is evident.

Anyway, hard to deny that the team is playing poorly. If this continues soon things may change in the way many have hoped.

I wonder why the Knicks players were allowed to participate in this years marketing campaign.

I really miss those cardboard cutouts.

Isiah only spites the ones he loves.

That was a good block and Isiah should have been Tee'd up.

the fact that he didn't get the T makes you think that at least the refs thought they might have made a mistake.

There's a difference between knowing you're stinking it up and caring whether you're stinking it up.

I didn't mean to suggest that fans booing was an attempt in negative reinforcement. I'm suggesting that the fans have a right to boo if they feel that the players are cheating them out of their money with their lack of effort.

When do you think Isiah will break out those defensive schemes that he said he was saving for the regular season?

I'm loving this stand there with your feet planted to the floor while they drain shot after shot.

hey, Isles, does the team using a zone for the first time in over a year count as a new scheme?

They came alive in the last few minutes. Harrington only had 12 points in the first 2 games. Knicks have to clamp down on him, we don't need him to have an all star effort tonight because O'Neal will not stay quiet
