I'm getting a little worried about our three point shooting. We are at about .160 in two games, in about 30 attempted shots. It's nice to have Crawford game winning for us, but we can't live off of that. And the fact that Vince and Kidd did not play in the first game, and we didn't really win by much does not truely say we won the first game. The wins are nice, don't get me wrong. But those three;s, they got to start hitting them.
I'll never trust this' team again.

he kneeded the rest. this was like bizaro game as it was with jalen starting and not producing...like a flash back, curry getting 25 minutes, crawford saving the day.

Frye fouling out, marbury only 9 points and 1 assist and QRich putting in numbers.
all kool aid all the time.

After reading this thread a couple things:

Im not worried about Jamal, i wasent worried after last night and i wont be worried.. He is a little streaky, always will be.. But as long as he doesent settle for the 3 all the time he will be fine and do what he needs to do.

I prey to god Eddy Curry will make me eat my words and look like a fool with that post i made yesterday.. But honestly... Last year he had games like this too! 25 points 10 reb 26 minutes is a very familiar stat line for eddy curry to have ONCE IN A WHILE..... The key is - What about 33 points and 14 rebounds in 35 minutes once in a while? what about 40 minutes once in a while?? He needs to PLAY MORE!!!!!!!!!!! So as it stands, my "Eddy curry is the same player as last year" could still very well be true.. Cuz hes done this many times, only to revert to the eddy of last night the next game.. BUT GOD I HOPE HE PROVES ME WRONG!!!!!!!!!

They rebounded the hell out of the ball

50 rebounds between 10 players-Everyone had over 5 except Craw(4), Balkman(3), Jalen and Steph(1)

By comparison the 76ers had 50 boards between 13 players, 6 of which had over 5.

Nice game. Looks like Knicks showed what they can do.
Curry displayed his max numbers in max minutes
JRose amd Steve are out and this is good sign
Marbs is just one of the soldiers in this IT motion game. It's noce too - we will not depend on his game.
All other guys are good and can make a great team together over time.
IT just need to keep JJ, MR, JR, and Steve out of rotation and Murbs out of running the team.

I bet Steph passed him the ball...

BTW-This is one HUGE reason that Jamal should be a captain.

The Sixers were missing 2 key bigs in Dalembert and Webber there's nothing that can be taken from this game honestly. Crawford is a captain which most of us already knew along with being Clutch.

http://www.nba.com/games/20061014/NYKPHI/recap.html?nav=scoreboardhome

apparently mardy drew the charge on AI2 to set up jamal's shot. good for him, getting late-game time in preseason and coming through

I'm worried about our guards' shooting in general:

J. Crawford 6-16 =38%
S. Marbury 2-6 =33%
Q. Richardson 3-10 =30%
M. Collins 1-5 =20%
N. Robinson 6-15 =40%
Total =35% YUK!

Dude, what are you talking about? What's the difference? 50 rebounds is 50 rebounds.
What's the difference how many players? Both teams have the same number of total minutes played.

You had alot of players grabbing high rebounds for the Knicks. Even guys that shouldn't be rebounding so well-Nate with 5 boards?- You would think with all the bigs plus the fact that the 76ers used more players they would have had a hell of a rebounding edge, no? Look at the box score and the rebounding of our guards. Instead of giving those rebounds up to Philly, they got those boards.

Philly didn't have Webber or Dalembert playing so of course there would be more opportunities for rebounds.
