Hey Bips, since we are doing the "I said so" bit now, Here are some quotes from you when the knicks were on the six game win streak:
Ooohaaah: The point that everyone on this board is missing is that I said this was how it would go before teh season started. Why? Because I would have broken the team down too!!! And I was also on record saying that when the team started winning(after about 25 games) you will get everyone on this board saying I told you so thinking that the only reason we are winning is because LB finally started doing things their way. Instead of realizing that we are winning because we are being coached to win. Coaching is more than substitutions and rotations and playing the right guys. Coaching is learning your team and learning how to motivate them.

I did, when all you guys were whining 2 months ago and I was saying exactly when we would have a set rotation I had that conversation with myself many times.

I think I called the three guard rotation and the David Lee slowly working his way back in the line-up sometime in November. And I did say all the fans would say "see LB finally got smart and listened to us" I predicted it all. I am a genius.

Whatever, who cares!!! You can dismiss everything I say, but all I know is I have the following

Marbs: ATtempting to lead for the first time in his career
Crawford: Learning what a good shot is for the first time in career
Curry: Gets a nutritionist
Taylor: 7 years of laziness wiped out in 25 games
Robinson: from nut to energizer in 25 games
Lee: From Center/PF to jumpshooting SF in 25 games

What incredible accuracy!

In another thread weeks later, you wrote that all the players were "tearing" spots from each other to explain the further lineup changes.

Bips, you have covered every possible angle to explain why LB has done everything right this season, one point contradicting the other. There is no way around this because LB has been contradictory himself. Your predictions have not come true.

Can we just stick with: "Everything LB does is great!"?

Man do people even read posts before they respond. I spent nine hours a day telling people that LB was not a magic elixir. That there was no coach on the planet that was going to come in and make us a good team. I thought he could coach a few more meaningless wins out of last years roster than Herb did but that wouldn't change anything we would still stink.

To me I am just different than some of you guys. Because I have high standards there is no difference between winning 20 games and winning 35 games and competing for a playoff spot. It all stinks! I said we would get worse before we got better(whatever the record is. unlike some I am just guessing when I predict final records), which has happened. I said there would be turmoil, which has happened. I also said that like Pat Riley, Bill Parcells and other great coach's the culture of the organization will be changed and the roster would be overturned to suit the coach. I remember preaching over and over again that a coach would not win games for us. Not until the culture changes, nothing will change.

Again, I have gone on record 50 or so some odd times saying that LB has done a bad job trying to win games this year. I have said it 50 and will keep on saying it, but this year is about lessons, not wins.

Unfortuanately I was unable to predict a team rebellion led by a millionaire crew of guys that don't care about winning. We actually did start winning and were on their way before the team revolt, which is everyone's fault!!!!!! Everyone!!!!! When I say everyone that includes LB!!!! Open your ears, geez. Noone is dismissed. Noone!!!!! Do I have to only blame LB for it to count.

I did say we would have a set rotation when the team earned the right to have a set rotaion. They did earn it, then when Marbs got hurt the entire team felt sorry for themselves and went back on their habits. The line-ups were set. If you search hard enough you can probably find several posts that point that out as well. I am a coach and will never reward anyone that has not earned it. This team has not earned it and thus LB is starting guys in their home towns.

Marbs-Clearly was ATTEMPTING TO LEAD for the first time and clearly is failing
Jamal-Is learning what a good shot is for the first time
Curry-Got a nutritionist. Also attempting to pass out of double teams for the first time. He is failing but he is ATTEMPTING
Taylor-A victim of perception.
Robinson-and back to nut, but still an energizer
Lee-To loss of confidence. Hello Rookie

Lastly-Anyone that takes any of my prediction seriously whether right or wrong either doesn't know my sense of humor or simply takes life too seriously.

Oohahh-Tomorrow I will point out another one of my bold predictions. I've been saving this one.

What's kills me in all these discusssions is how much excuses are made for Larry's performance...I must admit Bip, that is the first one I saw for starting guys in their hometowns....

How's Travis?

He's great. Looks just like me. He just started walking around. He's not too stable but he's getting it done. The best is that when he sees a basketball he starts screaming "dadda, dadda". Of course he still punches the cat but at least he know's I play basketball. I am doing a great job of being a parent.

Again, I have gone on record 50 or so some odd times saying that LB has done a bad job trying to win games this year. I have said it 50 and will keep on saying it, but this year is about lessons, not wins.

I read this board all the time. I had not seen you go on record with that statement until last week. I have seen: "It's not about wins". Your new position that LB hasn't done a good job "As far as wins" is a new spin. Man you must have a sweet jumper with all that spin!

In what area has LB done a good job this year?

And what are the lessons? Oh I know one: You can't win with 41 different lineups and counting!
To me I am just different than some of you guys. Because I have high standards there is no difference between winning 20 games and winning 35 games and competing for a playoff spot. It all stinks! I said we would get worse before we got better(whatever the record is. unlike some I am just guessing when I predict final records), which has happened.

I hope that means when the Knicks win 35 games next year you are not breaking out the "I told you so" bit.

You also wrote that the Knicks would come together after 25 games. You also wrote they would win a lot more games. Keep covering all those bases, it's very impressive!

Holfresh what is your reason for it senility? The guy was in the finals two years in a row. What's a more likely scenario? Him not remembering how to coach one year later. Or him sending a message to a lazy group that noone has earned a starting position and that he will continue to change line-ups until someone reaches up and grabs it instead of feeling entitled. The only reason why I don't go with this senility thing is because I've played the same games in my coaching. I've seen Jim Calhoun do the same things as well. Unfortunately millionaires take longer to figure it out.

ooh ahh-Okay give me a friggin break. Are you f'in kidding me? I have come on this board over a bazillion times preaching the same message over and over and over and over and over again talking about one thing. Taht it is not about wins and losses for the Knicks. Taht it is not about squeaking out 35 plus wins and sneaking in as an 8th seed. It is all about changing the culture and attitude of losing in this organization that has been going on since the day we gave the asylum to Latrell Sprewell. How can anyone on this planet ever dispute that this has been a constant message streaming from my mouth for the past 6 months-7 years. I've typed it so many times that I'm sick of typing it.

LB has done a horrible job winning games this year. I have never defended his game to game decisions in terms of winning games this year. I have said it is all about changing the face of the worst franchise in NBA history for 7 straight years. I have said it's about placing power back in the hands of the coach. It's about not handing losers the key to the franchise. It's about not worrying about eking out every last win just to please Stephon's ego and make the fans dream of a playoff run. How many times do I have to say this.

I will never defend the job LB did winning games this year. But if you fire the guy for the job he did "this year" we are idiots!!!! We finally have a guy not coaching simply to save his job. We finally have a guy that is committed to changing the face and the culture of the organization. We finally have a guy who is willing to run millionaire career losers out of town instead of catering to them and we have fans that want him fired. Who cares about 17 wins or 25 wins or even 35 wins, it all stinks!!!!!!!

It's time to go in a different directions. Enough maximizing rosters and squeaking out 35 wins. It's time to change the culture, and if that means going down in flames as we do so. So be it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That view has never changed.

Oohaah: I will make another prediction and guarantee it will be be right. Mark it down and call me on it anytime you like. Bookmark it so you don't have to waste time searching for it. Ready? Here is my prediction.

"A few months from now I will make a prediciton, and a few months later it will be wrong"

I guarantee it.

Lighten up they are jokes. It's like when I predict that the Knicks will win the game tomorrow and when they do I brag about it. I don't really know, guy, I'm just pretending. But mark my words when I am wrong I will pretend I never made the prediction. It's just how I operate. Listen to my message, not my predictions, I told you so's, bragging or crooning. My message about the Knicks and LB has been more consistent than anyone on this board.

Larry's the worst coach ever. Our players would be competing for a championship if it wasn't for him. It's all his fault. Every team he's ever coached has won despite his best efforts to turn them into losers.

Don't believe me? Look at all the success our guys have had everywhere else they've played. Look at how great this team was last year. We were only 9 games away from the playoffs. We were on the brink of a dynasty. Now Larry has come in and set us back 10 years.

I can't believe how much our players have hustled and played defense only to be foiled by LB's erratic substitution patterns. My friend knows a guy whose cousin went to school with this kid whose uncle's doctor was next door neighbors with a guy whose sister's mailman told him that LB has been sharing our playbook with opposing teams and also drugging our team's water to make them sluggish. I guarantee if Larry gets fired, this team will rule the NBA for years to come.

Please lay off the players. They have no effect on the outcome of the game. It's all coaches fault.

How do you guys really defend Larry without question is beyond me...So now once again, Larry teamed up with Frank Isola to put out apiece about Nate...You guys don't see a pattern here do you...When larry wants to trash one of his players in the press...Oh look, it's Isola again...wow, he gets all the inside stuff....One thing Bip, if you are out there, how does Larry take a rook and beat him down in the press??
How do you expalin this???
