Some may not like this guy but he has been sounding the alarm on the Delta Variant back when it was still only in India. What I like most about him he is errs on the side of caution like me. I don't listen to Fauci or the CDC much. I still remember at the start of this Fauci telling people they don't need masks. Once he said that I knew he can't be trusted. The CDC are too quick to recommend people take off masks. They respond to pressure of people wanting business as usual. I'll role with Eric Ding all day because he is overly cautious and that is how I am also handling this pandemic.

Keep your eyes on the UK's numbers over the next few weeks, as they have high vaccination rates plus high Delta prevalence (and are about to fully re-open, or at least were due to their Trump-esq clown of a leader, but now have back tracked and are lifting the legal requirements but asking people to kind of keep following them) so are due for a further surge. It will give a good indicator as to what happens with regards to vaccine vs death and hospitalization numbers vs infection rates. So far they've shown this spreads ridiculously quickly, but so far (and it might be too early to tell), not as high hospitalization rates or deaths, but it's early days. A further problem there is it's going to be so prevalent, contact tracing app is going to mean a large chunk of the population are going to end up having to self isolate for 10 days, because people will keep coming into close contact with people with covid, either not transport or at work or school- not sure how that's going to work practically.

It moves slow but it does move. I was reading a twitter thread on some stories of anti vax people who have died. I am sure there are a lot more stories like these that people just don't know of. The anti vax people who are overweight are the dumbest. Everyone know overweight people are hit harder by this and they still don't want to take it. SO now they are dead.

It’s an interesting twisted relationship going on there. Trump actually promoted the vaccines and actually tried his hardest to get them approved too early.... obviously to win votes. Trump supporters hang on to every last word he has to say and take his talk as gospel speak. Yet a lot of them refuse to take the vaccine despite him being desperate to get Pfizer, Moderna, J&J and AZ to be approved early for votes. I wonder what they think of him for that or do they just refuse to remember that?

Covid was never really a big deal. Vaccines are for the weak and gullible. That’s what I’m guessing dominates their thought process.

All I know is, if I ever move to another state, I’ll be referring to covid and election maps to eliminate places I’ll never move to.

I work with a woman who told me vaccines are the tools of the devil. That it's part of a global plan to microchip us all. She spouts this insane BS while her cousin a former NY police officer with children died from the coronavirus. She also told me that demons are the cause of the transgender movement. That demons are inhabiting their bodies causing confusion. I think people underestimate how many of these whack jobs are out there spreading this insanity on social media. Even if its 10% of adults that's millions of crazy people that you can't reason with.

I hope it's not 10% because I have to believe if it were that high, our society would be doomed-like end days of the roman empire doomed.

It’s like tgis whether or not you have the vaccine people MUSt follow a stringent social distancing standard. We need to keep big globs of people away from each other we need to follow continued science on this virus or we’re gonna f pay.
