I checked out of this culture war nonsense as well. It's become so obvious that it's objective is to divide the poor to facilitate a ghastly transition of wealth/power to the few.

A friend had me on an email chain where they were commenting about a "liberal" who had written to the NYT claiming he didn't take a job at a California college because they had some kind of diversity clause on the application.

We have a mass murder gun problem, a SCOTUS which treats corporations more like people than women, voter suppression efforts based on race, corporate greed, a climate problem, book banning, a major political party that supports insurrection, and a political candidate for POTUS who probably wants to be like Putin, but supporting diversity, mermaids of color, drag queens, and rainbows get as much coverage as issues which really matter.

This country is f'd up, and the mainstream media makes it worse.
