Plenty of Muslims aren't interested in living under shariah. Look at Indonesia, for example, the most populous Muslim country in the world. Acheh, the quasi-independent province in the Northwest has Shariah, but the rest of the country doesn't want it and doesn't have it.

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump will continue to enforce a 2014 executive order that offers protections for the employees of federal contractors from discrimination based on their sexual orientation, the White House said early Tuesday.

Mr. Trump “is determined to protect the rights of all Americans, including the LGBTQ community,” the White House said. It said the 2014 executive order signed by former President Barack Obama that protects LGBTQ rights for people working at federal contractors “will remain intact at the direction” of the new president.

The executive order signed by Mr. Obama barred federal contractors from hiring or firing employees based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.

The 2014 order left in place exemptions that religious contractors currently enjoy but didn’t offer any new ones. To that end, religious contractors may continue to choose anybody they like for ministerial positions—discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation or anything else if they so choose. For nonreligious posts, these contractors can continue to consider religion in hiring—but not sexual orientation or gender identity.

At the time, the Obama administration said the executive order affected 24,000 companies that collectively employed 28 million people, or one-fifth of the nation’s workforce.

btw, and this may not be a popular stance but imho, the main reason why LGBT community received as many rights as they have already is b/c white men are gay too. if being gay was regulated to women only or to a particular non-white race, then they will still be suppressed.

It has to end and this is the administration that may end put an end to it. Everyone is free to interpret things as they wish but what I'm seeing is administration that is at the forefront of leading the rest of the world in the fight against radical terrorism. They are setting a presidence for other nations to follow. We and the rest of the world will be very grateful in due time.

And they are not detaining and deporting legal residents and u.s. citizens as the media and radical dems have lead you to believe this weekend. If they are detaining legal residents for hours then that is on homeland security for
misinterpreting our laws. If that is the case than than this administration will have to clean house and get more competent people in there. Those coming in legally with visas are being vetted as they e always been only more thoroughly. The ones sneaking through illegally get sent back. Been the case since the dawn of time.

Didn't you post yesterday that people get vetted at the airport? According to the "process" is people get vetted then released as they enter the country? Now you think they are not supposed to detain legal residents for hours? While no one (including the idiot in chief) knows what the rule means - this is what has been reported

Where do green card holders from Trump's seven banned countries stand?
Senior officials at the Department of Homeland Security initially interpreted Trump's order to not apply to green card holders from the seven banned countries. Trump White House overruled that reading, however, meaning those green card holders were initially barred.

Yea that is pretty f'd up blunder. Those people should at least been warned. Whatever happened was cleared up less than 24hrs later. If they didn't clear it up I would've assumed they are truly taking extreme measures to get ahead of another attack from a U.S. born jihadist returning from another radicalization trip. Would I stop someone grandparents who are visiting their
Kids and grandkids NO. Nor would I have someone's grandmother remove her clothes and pat her down in a cavity search for a bomb. 9/11 changed everything for worse

No what's fukked up is a white nationalist mofo walking into a mosque and shooting 6 people dead followed by this reaction from our WH

Police did not give a motive for the attack.

Trump called Trudeau to express condolences to the Canadian people and to offer any assistance that might be needed.

The White House pointed to the attack as an example of why Trump's policies are needed. "We condemn this attack in the strongest possible terms. It's a terrible reminder of why we must remain vigilant and why the president is taking steps to be pro-active, rather than reactive when it comes to our nation's safety and security," White House spokesman Sean Spicer said.

The victims were businessmen, a university professor and others who had gathered for evening prayers, said Mohamed Labidi, vice president of the mosque.

"'It's a very, very big tragedy for us," Labidi said tearfully. "We have a sadness we cannot express."

He said the victims were shot in the back.

"Security at our mosque was our major, major concern," he said. "But we were caught off guard."

Simple question is the WH saying his jacked up BS now aplies to white people? If not do you think it should?

Expect Trump next to coordinate with Russia, Turkey and Syria to establish safe zones. The Syrian refugee travesty falls squarely on the shoulders of President Obama due to his indecisiveness and inaction. An embarrassing U.S. failure there. Inappropriate for him to chime in given his paralysis and indifference to their crisis but celebrities need public attention even when it displays rank hypocrisy. If anything, President Obama should be apologizing for allowing their plight to unfold

After Russia and Syria committed genocide, we will coordinate with them, huh???And don't forget Iraqis...After insulting the Muslim world he will coordinate with some of them..OK..Let's see how that works out..Also, reports are out saying Iran threatened to pull out the the nuclear deal if the US attacked Syria..Which is more important??Why couldn't Europe have intervened, they don't have a stake in this too??..Are we the policemen of the world??

LGBT rights is just one example of the radical left media spreading false narratives. Trump said he wouldn't undo the executive order on LBGT of 2014 during his campaign. The media ignored it so brainwashed idiots with nothing better to do are still out their protesting. Probably echoing the sentiments of their moronic celebrity idols pandering to them from their multi-million dollar Hollywood mansions.

SAN FRANCISCO — President Trump's relationship with Silicon Valley has always been volatile at best, but it seems things soon may get even more contentious.

Administration officials have drafted a new executive order aimed at overhauling, among other things, the H-1B work-visa program that technology companies have long relied on to bring top foreign engineering talent to their U.S.-based locations.

In his news briefing Monday, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said the possible executive order on work visas "is part of a larger immigration effort" and stems from "an overall need to look at all of these measures."

The order, which has yet to come into effect, arrives on the heels of Friday's controversial immigration ban targeting seven majority-Muslim countries that sparked protests at airports around the country over the weekend.

That ban, which the White House modified Sunday to not affect green card holders, roiled tech leaders who almost universally denounced the move.

With the amount of fraud happening and loss of American jobs to cheap foreign labor- it's about time someone is wakes up.

What fraud are you referring to??..We are talking about mostly software engineers which will affect Silicon Valley in a big way...Those engineers are few and far between in the US...
Google and other start ups doesn't have to be founded in the US...We are lucky they are and are paying taxes here...

Document fraud among this group runs rampant, along with a laundry list of other issues...

The reality is, these people are in your backyard- not just Silicon Valley... Taking jobs from qualified Americans, simply because they work for less on a sponsorship and nobody is policing it.

Companies are abusing this to no end, as well as those using it for Visa line jumping.

Of course, gotta rework the narrative and come up with a new spin on Trump being anti-semitic, anti-gay, anti- everything. Otherwise the marches and whines will quickly fade. As far as suppression, some here may want to check on Islamic attitudes towards women, lgbt and blacks. Our historians may also want to check on where slavery began and who was still practicing it through world war 1

Boy am I glad the days of being subjected to obama's inaction and "moral" speeches are long gone. Nothing more infuriating than watching your leader mince words time and time again after these attacks and doing nothing. For 2yrs I've been saying I wanted a President who is proactive not reactive.

Ill take that avoidance as a no. Next time you whine about the high unemployment rate of young blacks, ask why Starbucks doesn't announce hiring plans of 10,000 young blacks

There are a lot of black kids already working in Starbucks, Does he also need to make a Trumpian announcement???..Do you need him to solve the black unemployment problem to be happy???..Do you need him to ONLY hire black kids to be happy???..He is doing his part...Many black kids are already working in Starbucks...

whether it's a popular stance or not, its certainly a stance based on nothing. i've ALWAYS respected your opinion DJ - you are definitely a smart guy and someone who, when you posted here, i always looked forward to reading their posts. but when you say things that are just factitious and based on nothing it looks kind of silly - and honestly no better than what orangeblobman or playa used to do. you're better than that. to throw stuff out there like that with no absolutely no backing is kind of silly to me.
