clips and dubs game is currently a blow out since clips played at Denver the other night. DLee only 20/10 in league doing it again.

Lin had 9 pts and shot 30% from the field. When Felts puts up those numbers he gets killed....

Greg smith was the only player who took 2 shots or less, must be nice to sit back and watch ever body else score.

Exactly. I can live with the occasional 3-10 but not 3-20! I didn't see the game and wonder how Lin is doing with the pace...

Yes he did. He also shutdown Vasquez who has been playing well lately. Lin would have had 15 assists if Asik, chandler, Morris, Smith and Patterson did not miss open shots. In Smith, Parsons and Asik they actually missed layups. He also had a lot of hockey assists. Check his +- numbers. I think he had a +17.

He also had 6 rebounds, +17, 2 TOs, 1 steal. He stunk it up again at 3pt range going 1for 4. His defense and managing of the pace was awesome. Dude just keeps pushing the ball and creating open shots.

Lin has had a bunch of 1-8's, 2-10's, 2-8's, 1-9's etc....It has been way more than occasional.

better than 5-19, 3-18, 5-20 etc...

Also, Lin sees the floor and Felton does not - huge difference.

You guys like to look at stats....check it out. Acting like a child on posts is really disheartening. I never complain here in the UK but once in awhile I will make it known. I like the argument and UK has been one of the classiest forums around. But these kind of posts really is childish. You want to prove me wrong? Watch the games with an open mind instead of having an agenda and just pile on the kid just to prove that what you have now is better.

Lin had 5-6 games of 1-8s, 2-10s etc. His FG% is .432 for the year. His 3PtFG% is an atrocious .272. The Rockets telecast mentioned that in the month of December his FG% in 2PT range is a ridiculous .700 while his 3ptFG% was an abysmal .012. Yeah, he needs to work on that.

Felton's FG% for the year is .396. 3PT FG% .353. Felton was playing really well in the beginning and now has tailed off. Shit happens. He just needs to know his role and the Knicks will be fine. Setup his teammates and move the damn ball when need be. Having sticky fingers is not good for a PG.

Watch the games and it sometimes tells a different story that just the box score.

They have him penetrate and he takes some crazy shots but there are 5 outcomes,

TO
Missed shot
Offensive rebound
FT's
Makes the shot

Enroute he might kick it out or dish to the weak side. Harden is often a primary handler of the ball so they have a unique back court that is starting to gell very nice.

IM not trying to sell the kid nor lament on his departure but if you catch a game from time to time you see he can be effective beyind the box.

Same perhaps for Felton or any other PG in the league.

Lin is a good NBA player and the rockets are 4 games above .500 now and a 7th seed.

Morey seems to have a pretty good plan in place. We'll see where it takes them. He had the assets to get a good deal on Harden and still keep a good roster together.

Good post NYK.

Felton's needs to learn how do deal with being open all the time. Defenses have figured out that they can just sag off him and make him beat them. They now do this all game and he is taking the bait.

So what should he do if he is open? Just keep shooting 20 shots/bricks a game? Or pass these up even if open (which is an ego killer for a guy like him)? Rondo passes up wide open shots all the time and like Lin, is a pretty weak 3 point shooter (Wade too). He is still an excellent PG. If Lin is weak from 3, he should pass these up like Rondo does.

Great point on the offensive rebounds. Lin puts so much pressure on the defense when he drives that the defensive bigs help out on him which puts Asik and the rest of the frontcourt for an offensive rebound and putback when Lin misses.

Teams now would rather have Felton take all those shots and take the Knicks out of rhythm. Melo is the offense and the rest of the Knicks play off Melo. When you have Felton taking a lot of shots, then you have a 2 man offense. Easier to guard. Teams now when Felton is in will double Melo and stay home on the shooters in the wing and let Felton do his thing. Recipe for disaster. If he is wide open for a 3, drive and and take it to the rim or better yet stop and pop in the mid range. Felton's mid range game is very good, I don't know why he does not use it more.

Lin actually started doing this lately. He won't take wide open 3s if there is still time in the shot clock. He will dribble to get closer for a mid range shot or attack the rim. His 3 pt shots last night were when the shot clock was running down.

Felton has no midrange game. Its usually a brick 3 or failed drive, missed layup or failed floater

I calls it like I see it. Felton at $4mill/year is putting up comparable to better numbers than Lin at$8mill/year. and has helped steer his team to more wins.

Both are inconsistent, but for the price and production Felton fits this team better. Lin needs a certain system to thrive, or you'll get those 1-8 and 2-10 park your ass at the 3 pt line games. Felton, before the recent stumbles, had worked in unison with Kidd beautifully, before he decided to continue to play through injury.

Not sure if you guy's remember the San Antonio comeback or the Melo-less Heat blowout in Miami. That's what Felton can bring once healthy. Does he shoot too much sometimes, sure, but that's on Woodson to reel him in or check him if he's not 100%.

Calling me a child or childish doesn't phase me one bit. That's your opinion and I respect that. Getting defensive over a guy not even on the Knicks team does though. Knicks didn't match, cry me a river. In my eyes he's not that big of a deal. The guy is a good player, I don't dispute that. Is he all star caliber or even 2nd tier. NO WAY. Lin is way overrated to some of you guys. The way you guys react is like if we had just let Kyrie Irving or Damian Lillard go. Comedy.
