playoff JR is all famine

His numbers would indicate other wise no? 36% from 3 and close to 55% TS is not terrible. It is the best he has done in the playoffs since his Denver days.

Delly is so overrated. He has shown great hustle and team player, but is much worse than Calderon when it comes to talent/abilty level.

Which playoff series are you talking about? I'm looking at this one-Smiths been very poor, and he's the reason a guy like Delly has to do more than he should be doing.

JR has to be running around and getting open shots- GS is not doubling Lebron, so Smith can't stand around in the usual iso-ball stupor and just wait for the ball to come to him. And you don't want him doing a dribbling exhibition and shooting from 25 feet of a crossover.

He can still help the Cavs win, but he has to play smart, consistent ball...and therein lies the problem.

jr smith's finals ts% is 38 and is either zero impact/invisible or negative impact/corrosive.

jr smith sucks

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Still rooting for the Cavs, but a few Smithology cultists might drive me to root for GS, and if there are any stats which indicate Smith has had a good series after 4 games, its pretty good proof that you can prove anything with stats.

29.8 FG%, 25% 3pt, and he's only been to the line 2 times. Also heard his +/- is terrible.

But this is JR Smith- might hit 8/11 from 3 next game, IF James gets him the ball at the right time.

Does anyone think that LeBron's flop attempt at getting a flagrant on Bogut backfired. Kind of reminded me of how he got the call vs the Knicks on Chandler in the playoffs.

I heard someone talking about it on the radio. Not sure if it was a flop but it didn't work out for him.

Well I knew what gs adjustment was but clev is just as easy and it seems the players are talking about it on the cavs The coach needs to expand his roster and use Marion Miller and Jones more. Shumpert should play back up pg but be told not to shoot first and only when open.Thompson has played well but I'd move him to 6 th man and start jones to spread the floormosgov and lbj rebounding is enough. Then use Thompson miller smith shumpert off the bench for 9 deep. Keep lbj at no more than 40 minutes spread out gs and use more depth

Looked a little bit over-dramatic to me- and we all know he's done it before but...

...Karma got him, I guess.

Has always amazed me that a guy as strong as he is can get hit by 4 guys going to the basket, but still have enough strength to score, but then drops to the floor for a charge the first time a 6 ft guard hits him softly as he is defending.

Everytime he gets fouled you think he was shot or something. That might be the only thing that separates him from the other great ones. Did you ever see Kareem, Majic, Jordan, Bird, Dr. J ever do flops.

Diminishes him as a star player...

but he is loved by stunt men and clowns throughout the world, I'm told.

My thought exactly, initially...but then on the replay, it just looked like bad luck.

"Thompson has played well but I'd move him to 6 th man"

Briggs, I usually mostly agree with your comments but . . .Thompson has been, oh, the Green of Cleveland. Without him, do they get any offensive boards? I agree, having him in changes Cleveland's spacing for the worse but he's a necessary piece most of the game, not a 6th man, not in this series.

What do you do with both of them in the future in terms of contracts, as well as playing time. TT turned down $13M- will you actually give him a Max deal??

Love, if he opts in, has the luxury of being a FA with the crazy cap that is coming up,and you figure James will time his contracts so he benefits when the cap goes up, too

Seems like you would eventually get rid of Love if you want to keep Thompson. If you have a healthy Irving, Mosgov, and a SG who can actually shoot as well as defend, Thompson would be a good fit, but you need some balance, IMO.

Only good thing for Cavs is that they have only 2 pts and 5 turnovers but are only down 6.

Shumpert has to his his next shot, or at least look good, or they might not be able to leave him in too much longer.
Didn't take a side three, dribbled in, and then passed out. He is scared.

Delly's long shot was embarrassing and James looks very tight shooting.

Smith hits...he really has to be better.

JR realizes he is off to a good start, decides that needs to change. Dumb gets you beat.
