like Steven A. Smith of ESPN would say. THIS IS EMBARRASSING!!! If you think this loss hurts. Powerfull Phoenix will bring more pain with a 20+ or 30+ butt whipping! Nash With 20+ assists. Stoudemire 45 and 15. The whole Suns will be blazing with a record 20 three pointers. The Knicks are too wounded to compete. The final score and i hope i'm wrong, Suns 140 Knicks 86.

Just keep chanting "Boone, Bogut or Taft. Boone, Bogut or Taft. Boone, Bogut or Taft." It'll all be okay.

I'll have to take back what I said. I can't get the game so I just thought that Steph didn't want to take the last shot.....I was wrong.
14 missed FT's. Why didn't they foul with 40 sec left and up by 5?
I believe that is where the mistake was made by coach Williams. I see that time and time again, why let the other team shoot when you don't have to?
You DO NOT foul in that situation. Stop the clock, let them cut it to 3, hold onto until 16 second mark, and hope you score?

the real problem was not calling time out after the Bibby three. They had two. Time out there advances the ball to half court.

Chalk up another for Marbs not wanting to take the last shot!!!
I think it was actually a play for Penny. He knew he ****ed up and probably pleaded in the huddle to get the play called for him. Not to mention Steph was going to have to go through a double team to get a shot off. But it certainly would've made sense.

Everyone in the building knew the Knicks were looking for Marbury, the Kings had two guys at the top of the key on him, and the rest of the team would have collapsed on him too if he managed to get by the first two. This is the problem with having only perimeter options to score on a late game play.

thank you

The way these loses are coming, it really just feels like it's not our year. I know that's a cliche, but this loss is ridiculous. I can't believe this.

we'll go back to the detroit example, that's the only way i can look at it. they were 30-52 one year, then added rick carlisle as coach and cliff robinson to the same roster and went 50-32. i'm hoping that happens to us.

This is a first, I actually threw up after watching the last 4 minutes of that game. I went out for my friends birthday so I couldnt watch the game, well actually the bar i went to had the first half on then at halftime they shut the tv off and the Knicks were playing tough and were up 7. Then after halftime I started following the game on espn bottomline on my cell phone, we were up 7 with a minute left or something like that then all off a sudden it said 115-115, I COULDNT BELIEVE IT. So I get home at around 2:30 and rewind was on so I watched the last half hour of the game and when it was over I was so sick that I actually puked. Im sure the liquor played a part in me throwing up but for the most part it was cause of the game.

i just watched the game on DVR...Marbury was the reason the team didn't lose the lead in the 3rd quarter...he was totally unstoppable in the 2nd half...his defense wasn't good on Bibby, but Bibby was also making some unbelievable shots right in his face, including that clutch 3 pointer he had in the closing seconds that sparked their late game comeback...the 1 thing i can fault Marbury for last night was not taking the final shot & passing it off to Penny Hardaway who was about to be double teamed...but maybe he really wanted Penny to have the shot so he could redeem himself for the 2 boneheaded mistakes he made in the stretch on the errant inbounds pass that allowed SAC to tie the game & on the subsequent missed wide open 3...still, Marbury should have taken that shot because he was just rolling last night...that's the 1 thing on offense that he needs to work on, being willing to take that last big shot...he passes off on way too many occasions when the game is on the line...bigtime players don't do that.

i give big props to Tim Thomas & Nazr Mohammed too...they were awesome last night...Nazr was being forceful down low, & Tim had his best game of the season by far last night driving to the hoop & playing very good D...

Sweetney was horrible, committing foul after foul & getting back late on help defense...he made 1 good move in the post that got him a bucket, but missed some FT's & generally was not a factor at all in the game...

KT was solid, grabbing a good amount of boards & hitting some shots early on, but he & Nazr left Brad Miller wide open on too many occasions & he was killing us all game long.

Penny was the goat of last night...his crucial T/O on the inbounds & the missed 3 killed us...i can't fault him for the last play that he got double teamed on because that was Stephon's shot all the way.

overall, a great effort & some good cameraderie shown last night, but still a LOSS...this team needs to learn how to close out games, i say it time & time again...hopefully they get it someday.

sounds nice but no way did Marbury pass it to Penny because he wanted penny to redeem himself lol Steph doesn't think like that and he's not smart enough to think so deeply. not taking winning the game himself when he was the one carrying the team was really dumb

i agree guns, it was another example of Marbury passing up the final shot when it mattered most...it was a bad decision by him.

dont forget the 2 missed free throws yet again...he's missed both free throws at least 3 or 4 times this year with under 1min left. They would've sealed the game.

everyone was missing FT's...on both teams...they expended alot of energy playing some real exciting ball...i can't single out Marbury for that.

I would agree if he didn't miss 2 FT's 80% of the time with under 1min eft. This wasnt the first time it was the 4th time he's done that! I've never seen a bigger choker in my life!

come on, that's unfair...Mike Bibby is 1 of the most clutch players in the game & he missed plenty of FT's down the stretch...they were all playing hard out there...Marbury just made a bad decision on the last possession...that's the 1 thing i think he needs to work on in his offensive game...his defense needs ALOT of work too.

i know what you're saying. it wouldn't be a big deal if it was the 1st time but it's the 4th time. Thats 4 games that we should've won

Oh man did that one hurt last night. I'd been able to handle the last several losses with the "rebuilding/lottery" strategy, but last night I was really rooting hard for the win all the way (thanks alot for hooking me on a 7th game for the championship, Guns ) Anyway, I saw it as Penny being the goat all the way. I didn't feel badly for him - I was pissed as hell at him. And of course that grating Mike Breen (anyone else finding him more and more insufferable as the season goes on) telling us about 10 times in the 4th quarter about how those missed free throws are "going to come back to haunt" us?? Now he thinks he's even more of a genius! Grrrr....

Anyway that game totally sucked. The only consoling thought is that Clyde was hysterical last night. He said someone was extremely omnipotent. I mean omnipotence pretty much says it all, doesn't it? Then to be extremely omnipotent on top of it??? I do love Clyde, he's entertaining as hell, and if he could provide me with a laugh after that totally depressing game, then he's even more extremely omnipotent than I thought.

I prefer Johnny Hoops. I like how he rips the team for lack of effort and stupidity. Clyde never does. All he and Breen talk about is how superb a defender Kurt Thomas is.
