I think we're going to lose this series. And it's going to be about coaching and sub patterns.

Enough with OG. Send him, Diawara and all of our draft picks to Milwaukee for Giannis. Hire Doc as head coach. Sign Thanasis I don’t care.

We're fine. I actually think this loss is a good thing. I think we're a sleeping giant and every now and again need to get punched in the face. My concern is coaching. A think Brown was best available but that doesn't mean he is the right fit for a title-aspiring team. He has a reputation of choking in the playoffs and did it yet again tonight. He's like a worse version of Doc Rivers

We spent the whole season sleeping and we are dumb enough to keep sleeping now. You think this loss will do anything to them? We had many of them during the season and after them we kept repeating the same mistakes and playing the same inconsistent brand.

We’d like to believe that we are contenders but this team is too dumb and flawed.

Brutal...brutal...brutal....selfish - fake offense --- Brunson and 4 guys trying to get the ball to Brunson.

Deuce/Shamet have shat the bed 2 straight games and despite Jose effort he's a turd offensively and every shot comes with a hope & a prayer.

Another classic garden choke job -- again and again and again.

Announcers bragging about our +40 year best 4th quarter record this year and all the while I'm thinking just wait.

I love Duece and Shamet for what they are....but playoff situations like this is why I would've sacrificed either or both to get back DDV. DDV is proven; they are not.

Our bench totally sucked tonight outside of Mitch. Deuce, Shamet and Alvarado couldn’t put the ball in the ocean.

While I'm at it he basically ignored the entire team and just did his thing.

Deuce - once again comes up small in big spot. Landry shat himself -- Mitch sleep walking on 1/2 his defensive possessions.

This one is on Brunson for dominating entire offense and for M-Brown for allowing it....just a disgrace.

I'll add this Hawks team is weak ass and could beat us --- why do we have Brunson guarding CJ entire night???

Agree with the bold. It really was bizarre. Almost like Isiah icing out MJ in the all star game. And granted Jalen started hitting shots late. but KAT was hitting them all night and he was a double after thought

Not sure what's up with McBride but he was a disaster tonight. He entered the game multiple times with big leads and coughed it up in minutes. He has no idea how to run a team, so if he's not hitting shots he shouldn't be out there. And Jose can't hit a shot period.

We will win the series but this is one that we got too cute.

I have no idea what's going on in Brunson's head but any objective analysis focuses on his being a ball hog as problem number 1

I can’t believe Deuce tried that oop to Mitch, nearly killed him and then Briwn quickly bench Deuce

Brown was totally outcoached in this game

I agree but Brunson the coach on the floor and the guy can't get Kat the ball for more than 1 in 10 games -- it's incredible how often he ignores the best player on the team. Absolute travesty.

This is also consider that JB had Daniels draped all over him making him chew up lots of clock, bad decisions etc

And Atlanta is absolutely depleted up front and had guys in foul trouble and KAT had it going,

Huge brain fart; JB was way too greedy tonight. We will need him and his clutch play but Brown (not JB) has primary responsibility in fixing this

Rick needs to practice dribbling the ball up the court with defensive pressure with Brunson, with speed, cause apparently he forgot to

Trade Brunson and OG for Giannis

Keep KAT instead of Brunson

If a PG is going to be the main offensive weapon their name should be Magic Johnson or Oscar Robertson, big dudes who also played defense

I warned you all you may never win a championship with Brunson as your primary option

Our team is rarely consistent or cohesive under his leadership (or lack of so to speak)

This FO assembled a lot of talent, as much as any club in the NBA probably, but it does not mesh well

Our record is a testament to our talent, not our ability to perform as a collective

This was one of the worst losses I've seen from this team since the beginning of last season.

It is a real indicator of their lack of focus and lack of unity.

They are not a championship quality team, just a collection of quality pieces, nothing more.

Watching the Knicks blow this lead down the stretch is like watching a Silverback Gorilla play with its feces

Some fans, like at Boston, San Antonio and OKC, get to follow disciplined and mature teams (yes, I know how young the Spurs are, but still…).

Us?

We get the clown act. This team just never learns. They are their worst enemy and they can’t learn. I hate the fact that I still believe they can change.

We hire starphucker coaches

Thibs offensive strategy was "make something happen Jalen"

Brown is basically Thibs 2.0, no play calling, KAT frozen out in the 4th quarter

I blame the front office for hiring dinosaurs to run these squads

One of the reasons Brown was hired was because of his innovation on the offensive end....what he did in Sac-town and with the Warriors...We started out the year running similar concepts that he ran with the Kings, then, slowly but surely we reverted back to Brunson ball. Pretty sure that wasn't soley Browns decision...

Foul situation aside, who runs lineups with no Brunson or Towns? Cause that’s a head scratcher

The regular season is a different beast than the playoffs. The best available team advances the overwhelming majority of the time in the playoffs but anyone could be beat during the regular season. I'm glad this type of loss happened earlier in the playoffs and against any obviously inferior team. We'll beat the Hawks, not so sure about our opponents in the Conference Finals like the Pacers last year.

Also, I was wrong about Mike Brown being the beat available last year. Mike Malone is better but too close to Thibs. And I think Tyler Jenkins was always better than Mike Brown. Not sure why he didn't get the job, especially looking at what he did with a mediocre MEM team

EXACTLY

There is no reason to expect them to change their habits now.

This is not a wake up call, its the past telling us we've already seen the future

The worst part of this is that, while the Hawks are a good team, they truly don’t stand a chance against a team as talented as us when they play disciplined. But that’s not us.

We are our freaking worst enemy and that has been our story for many seasons now. Man, how can you be so selfish and dumb as Brunson was in that 4th quarter? How? How can you be such a fraud as a coach to allow it to happen? How can you even play some of the lineups Brown played today?

It was dumb and dumber tonight, and it’s just too constant with this team to believe in them.

All the talent to really compete with the best and the elite, but this team is too dumb to get there.

This cost us the game. There really isn’t anyone. At this point it is Clarkson. McBride has been a total non factor since coming back from injury and he’s the difference between this being a good or great team. If he’s not reliable we aren’t deep enough.

Thibs would have also been a good choice for coach.

I love Deuce but he's not a pg. he honestly has no idea what he's doing as a pg. he's a short 2 guard who is tough and can get hot shooting but he can't orchestrate. Jose isn't much better honestly but he does bring energy. Unfortunately tonight he probably got CJ fired up

Brown has to fix this. It would be too easy to say he should play Kolek who actually can pass guys open, but he's been on the pine so much since Jose showed up that would be a problem.

KAT needs to touch the ball. Jalen needs to get over himself just a smidge. Everything else should fall into place

Brown is soft. He used to let Kobe sub himself in and out of games. He would call plays with the lakers Kobe would just ignore him.

tonight 4th quarter looked similar to the 4th quarter of game 2 last year vs. the Pistons. Lots of standing around and watching Brunson dribble the air out of the ball...Hopefully we bounce back like we did last year

The grass is always greener. If you're concern is having a black-hole on offense, Giannis is as bad as it gets. He's also incredibly bone-headed on that end of the flood and can't space the floor. Add to the fact his best years are behind him and it becomes an easy pass, unless he comes cheap.

Besides, the only reason we ever have hope is because of Brunson. I'd rather lose with him than win with a mercenary
