A win is a win. Only good teams can complain about how those wins come and we are not there yet. But this was an ugly game. Especially in the first half with all the turnovers. But there was a lot to get excited about! First, Grimes is now the starter! It's going to take him a few games to shake off the rust having missed training camp but long term, this is the right move imo. We need a 3&D guy in the SL and if Grimes can give us what Bullock gave us in 2021, we are fine. But Grimes can do so much more than Bullock! I think his playmaking and one on one ability is underrated. Second, we got to see Obi play extended minutes with Randle and it worked! So proud of Obi for improving that jumper! He's shooting with a lot of confidence and making them! I really REALLY hope this opened Thibs eyes and he feels more comfortable with playing that duo. I agree with him that it's not the perfect fit defensively but we have a lot of advantages offensively. And finally, Reddish! Dominated that fourth quarter! His defense was great and he made key shots! I loved that baseline euro-step! He's the only player on the roster with that skillset and must play!
And kudos to Randle for making the clutch FTs. But he's starting to go back to last season's Randle with holding the ball and the turnovers! There needs to be a no iso Randle rule and he's not allowed to hold onto the ball for more then two seconds.
