Well said.

Booing your best players has never worked.

The Knicks not winning an NBA Championship dating back to 1972-1973 is evidence and proof. That it doesn't work.

Because if you think booing the likes of Jeter/Ewing/Melo/Julius helps a player become great? You're wrong. If anything it creates more stress on the player and causes more mental frustration.

Imo fans who go to games to boo our best player are not only disgusting but also grown ass men just looking to unleash their life frustrations out on kids who are just playing a game they've loved since childhood.

If you think that booing the likes of Derek Jeter/Patrick Ewing/Carmelo Anthony/Julius Randle is acceptable? That's your opinion. But in my opinion it means you're nothing more than a disgusting love you while you're up before kicking you while you're down type of NY fan.

I also believe it's disgusting for NY fans to BOO kids drafted into NY such as KP and so many others. Grown men 40-50 years old booing kids on draft night? What a way to welcome kids into New York City; it's disgusting.

For the love of childhood dreams……They get paid dude.

Jeter, melo, Ewing are HOF’ers. Randle is not.
But, lets be clear, Im not a fan of the booing but the more I read your “leave brittey alone” cries the more I side with the pro booing. Its their right.
Not to be vile or racist but if the performer is slacking off then the performance is being booed, not the man.

Does the booing help? Does the booing make the situation better? Does it make us a more desirable place to play for other players? Has it really brought the best out of most players? Has it honestly helped us? Is it worth it? Genuine questions

most likely it makes little diff in the long run. what would be the alt for an unhappy paying fan watching poor play (team sports only)?

is there a fanbase that doesnt boo bad play in any team sport? if there is, are they routinely getting elite fa and/or winning titles?

It's their right to boo and boo him in front of his child?

Well then it's Julius Randle's right to tell them to STFU.

Did MJ ever get booed in Chicago?
Did Bird ever get booed in Boston?
Did Hakeem ever get booed in Houston?
Did Shaq ever get booed in Orlando?
Did Zo ever get booed in Miami?
Did Reggie Miller ever get booed in Indiana?

If you can't agree that scumbag NY "fans" booing Patrick Ewing (and during an entire game and every time he touched the ball too) wasn't disgusting? Well then I have nothing more to say to you.

then the nba and/or knicks org will most likely fine him. you bury the paying fan, you take the risk they not only turn on you they stop paying. thats why he got fined already over this.

I actually think your both right. Fans have the right to boo. But what ny fans in particular don’t realize is players are human to. Imagine if every mistake you make at work, people pop up at your desk and boo you in your face. But when you travel to another site away from your home office, they don’t boo. It takes a very special thick skinned person or robot to not be affected by that. Which is why I love being raised in NYC. We can live anywhere in the world. But everybody can’t handle living in NYC.

Now I do remember games last year and some this year early in the season, fans was quiet during blow out games. Actually it caught me by surprise. And I really don’t remember fans booing Ewing during the games. Or even booing melo during the games. They definitely boo the team but. Maybe I’m wrong.

All players have to do is play hard, to keep fans quiet. But what happens when u feel u are playing hard, and u still get booed. Sometimes fans are booing Dolan or the GM who put this team together. It’s the few knuckle heads that take is a step further and scream vulgar stuff at the players. And that frustration at work can lead to more problems at home.

Randle is not a player born in NYC. He’s from texas I believe. That’s a football state where if u suck in football, texas fans will let u have it. I lived in texas for 3 yrs and my wife is from there. But people born and raised in nyc can usually handle screaming fans. NY fans are brutally honest with you. There’s not sugar coating it. But the reality is US NYers are built different and Randle is not a NYer. But he definitely enjoys the challenge and I think he just got frustrated with everything. In the end if Randle survives this mental challenge with fans, it’s only going to make him a better player.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

i havent any idea if they did since i am a knicks fan. i dont care to google if they did either, and i dont really care overall about it. none of what you replied with discusses what i said. what do you want fans who paid to do when they are present during poor play?

asking about ewing getting booed is not related to anything i said. did it bother me, i cant really recall too many games it may have happened. i recall rough times before pitino, after he left where folks sure as heck were not happy with the team

were there that many title winning knick players from nyc? how about key yankee winners (ford was from nyc), mets, giants, rangers, islanders? i am not sure being from nyc really makes as much of a diff. folks have comes here across the sports world and won, probably got booed at times. the part that does need to be said far more -- getting critiqued constantly stinks by media and fans. the assumption that they make a lot of $ means they can just take it all in and move on is not legit. seaver got sick of the media (or dik young -- that guy was a disgrace in my view) and got out. you can see evidence of this by the players in multiple sports who couldnt hack ny pressure (or in any market taking a beating). the idea of that is how its always been so dont question it should not fly. that said, i do not know what you could do about it.

And how many times has it helped lead NY players to a Championship? 😅

And why hasn't the FA bust Evan Fournier been booed for stealing and robbing NY of $$$ (outside of 3 games vs. Boston)? 😅

And why did you change your username? You're not a "hustla" anymore?

I’ve been to many Knicks games both home and away. I’ve only booed them once in 2005 when Marbury and Cury got blown out at home by the nets

Most Knicks fans don’t boo. The ones that do are either drunk and/or are Wall St douchebags paying $2,000 a ticket

I’m still confused.

Julius was mediocre at best year one, spectacular year two (worst playoffs of any starter) year three the team is under .500 at home and he’s shooting 41% and playing like the guy on year 1.

He gets the big contract isn’t performing. The fans don’t like the effort. He says shut the **** up.

Has two mediocre games following.

Can he handle pressure?
