I don't get the reports that VanVleet is going to meet with multiple teams today- no team other than us has the salary, do they? Anyways, think he has no intention of signing with us, he's just doing a Grant Hill

Some updates:

JaMychal Green has agreed to a two-year, $15 million deal with the Denver Nuggets.

Denver lost Jerian Grant to the Detroit Pistons earlier on the start of free agency.

The second season of the deal is a player option for Green.

Green spent the past season and a half with the Los Angeles Clippers.

I would of liked us to pick him up

The New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder are finalizing a trade centered on Steven Adams. The Pelicans will send a 2023 lottery protected first round pick they recently received from the Denver Nuggets to the Thunder, as well as two future second round picks.

Adams is entering the final season of a four-year, $100 million extension with the Thunder in 2016.

The Pelicans lost Derrick Favors in free agency on Friday while Oklahoma City traded for Al Horford.

Why do GM's keep giving Presti firsts?! This is beyond a joke- he now owns all of the 1st round picks in the nba for the next decade!

Wonder if it means NO will look to offload some salary (they're overloaded at PG)

The San Antonio Spurs are finalizing a three-year, $27 million deal with Jakob Poeltl.

Poeltl was a restricted free agent this offseason after averaging 5.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 17.7 minutes per game.

The Spurs acquire Poeltl as part of the Kawhi Leonard trade in 2018.

Justin Holiday has agreed to a three-year, $18.1 million deal with the Indiana Pacers.

There goes that

The Detroit Pistons will waive and stretch Dewayne Dedmon in order to create cap space to sign their targeted free agents.

Dedmon will become a free agent once he clears waivers.

The Pistons have reached agreements on the opening night of free agency with Jerami Grant, Mason Plumlee and Jahill Okafor.

This is the first offseason since the Pistons hired Troy Weaver.

I'd look into him for cheap

Jerami Grant has agreed to a three-year, $60 million deal with the Detroit Pistons.

The Denver Nuggets reportedly offered the same amount of money to Grant as the Pistons, per Mike Singer of the Denver Post.

The Nuggets traded a first round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Grant last offseason.

Wild money

Joe Harris and the Brooklyn Nets have agreed to a four-year, $75 million deal.

Harris averaged 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 30.8 minutes per game while shooting 42.4 percent on three-pointers.

Over the past four seasons with the Nets, Harris has become one of the league's most reliable three-point shooters.

Even wilder!

Davis Bertans has agreed to a five-year, $80 million deal with the Washington Wizards.

Bertans had a breakout season in 19-20, his first with the Wizards.

Five years?!?! I'm looking forward to watching that Wiz team if they land Westbrook

The Los Angeles Lakers have reached agreement with Montreal Harrell on a two-year, $19 million deal.

Harrell won Sixth Man of the Year last season with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Harrell is represented by Rich Paul of Klutch Sports.

Ha, he really was p'd off with the Clips

Favors back to Jazz, Dwight Howard to Wiz

Bucks really messed up this offseason if they have really lost Bogdanovic- gave up all their firsts just for Holiday. Is that enough to sign Giannis? Even if so, I don't get how they add talent

Detroit with the most Wtf signings this year. Literally their entire roster is power forwards and centers. Plumlee, Stewart, Bradley, Dedham and Okafor are centers. Blake, Grant, bey, and Doumbouya are 4s. I imagine a couple of them will play out of position at the 3, but I’m dumbfounded by this roster construction.

Are we allowed to screw over the celtics by signing and trading Hayward to the pacers for oladipo or miles turner or whatever?

They've stretched and bought out deadmon. But yeah, you have to assume they have some trades lined up to clear up the roster. I like grant, but I don't understand the fit with Detroit at all

Bogey might be able to be had on a bargain/reasonable contract, now that Gallo had taken the hawks money and Detroit has locked in all the mediocre bigs in the nba.

I wouldn’t hate FVV 4 for $100MM and Bogey 4 year $56MM. Could definitely swing a trade down the road and would stabilize the lineup and help to start building a culture.

Fairly apparent that no one want to play here yet and if Bertans and Joe Harris are getting that type of money we are in big trouble

Indy can dump Olidipo on us and sign Haywood with the cap space.
This is about Boston getting something in return but its not that great for them either. Turner got three years at 18mm per year left on his contract. Its not an awful contract but he kind of not improving as they had hoped either.
Can’t say what Knicks think about ‘Dipo. Indy is tight with the buck and I don’t know how they fit Haywood’s contract in but they need to engage Boston in a sign and trade, dump contracts, or get other teams involved.
This is where we use Randle/DSjr as fall back easy fan trade ideas.......LOL

Problem is Bogey is restricted so if you get him cheap, Kings might just match and move him next offseason before Fox's contract kicks in.

Same. I guess they plan to move on from Blake eventually

No FVV no DJ. Point guard options are disappearing. Hopefully we don’t panic.

Yep, as long as we don't panic and trade for Westbrook, I'm fine with an epic losing season. I know people say you can't guarantee a top 4 pick, but you can guarantee yourself a top 5 or 6 pick, and this draft is deep enough to cover that.

I will say I'm very surprised at the size of the contracts handed out- all he players I was interested in got over $20mil per, even the bums got bigger checks than I thought. Really thought teams would be frugal with the economic climate, but instead it had zero impact whatsoever- even GS agreed to the massive tax bill by using their trade exemption.

I’m actually glad that free agents don’t want to come here. $120 million for heyward? $61.5 million for Gallo?

Gallo and Trae young is a nice parameter game. Sometimes value is the aggregate rather than the individual.
