Hold up..so if the triangle is about total basketball, then every other team runs the triangle then right?

And Triangle Culture (Jackson) . . . is even more than the Triangle System (Ritter et al)

It's not about shapes! It's about unselfishness, focus, trust, fundamentals...

I just get tired of reading comments about this offense from people that wouldn't recognize if the Knicks ran "Blind Pig" instead of feeding the post. Tex ran PnR within the Triangle sets with the Bulls. The offense has a lot of normal BBALL plays within the overarching system.


It's simple . . . if you want to understand.

Triangle Culture (created by Phil Jackson) has as part of it . . . the Triangle System (created by Tex Ritter) which has as parts of it . . . both the Triangle Sets . . . and other basketball fundamentals.

Sorry Nix, but I am not quite understanding what you are saying man..

It's simple! The Triple Post Offense is an entire system and not just one play! There are a different set of rules than most other systems. They don't really rely on plays per se but they have actions and reads. You can run a PnR out of Pinch Post or at the top or even out of a Side Triangle look.

melo is playing such great ball right now. scoring some major karmic points right now.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
